I'm having a hard time believing that it's been 25 years since 9/11. I recall that morning with a clarity that astounds me.

It changed everything, certainly anything travel-related. I wasn't an Agent yet, but I was an avid traveler, trying to keep on top of the news, updates, headlines, and changes. Trying to find a new norm. Trying to figure out a way to keep traveling without fear.

But it's the resilience that was born from it that I keep coming back to. The families who were affected, the people who opened their homes, and the airline & travel industries as a whole.

We found a way to push fear aside and keep moving forward...which is possibly one of the very best ways to honour those who were lost that day.

I hate to admit it, but the holiday season is closing in fast.

Like, really fast 🤯

And it's not just the Christmas season 🎄 I’m thinking spring break, summer 2027, and beyond. Multiple suppliers + cruise lines have released their 2028 & 2029 itineraries (!) and they are already selling out.

Where is everyone going? Europe. Asia. Africa. South America, and all spots in between. They are on the oceans and rivers, over land and around the globe. It's the big cities, the second cities, and all the little spots in between 🗺️

In short: everyone is going everywhere. Which means there is a trip that is perfect for you ✨

If you have an idea of where you would like to go, *NOW* is the time to start planning. Even if you think it's too far off in the distance, I promise it's not. A quick 20-minute chat could get you moving in the right direction with that feeling of satisfaction, knowing you have a plan.

AMEX is a great credit card option, but it does have limitations, especially when travelling.

A lot of smaller establishments - hotels, restaurants, etc. - simply don't accept it for a variety of reasons. As such, be sure to have either a Visa or Mastercard handy as well 💳

Fall is my favourite season - I love the colours and the crips mornings. There's a freshness to the air that hits a bit differently 🍂

It's also a fun time for my business - like everything else going on, travel ramps up too. Suppliers launch their new products, tourism boards come to visit, and it's a chance to reconnect with my colleagues and friends.

💻 Educational webinars with Denmark 🇩🇰 and Hungary 🇭🇺, and why these two should be on your must-visit list.

🍁 Air Canada Vacations product launch - Europe, Australia, South America, and the Caribbean. ACV can get you there with a myriad of options.

💪 ACTA Summit - a full-day event, packed with meetings, seminars, and a trade show with dozens of suppliers. I'll be face-to-face with some of my favourite reps, learning about their product offering for 2027 and beyond.

🚙 The Travel Agent Next Door Roadshow - a great opportunity to catch up with TTAND's leadership team and key suppliers.

🇮🇹 Italy - after a long absence, the Italian Tourism Board returns to Vancouver and I *cannot wait* to connect with them.

🇫🇯 Fiji - Bula! The South Pacific is always a favourite, and Fiji can be the perfect spot for a stopover.

🇳🇿 New Zealand - looking forward to re-connecting with some of my favourite NZ suppliers and reps, learning about itineraries and options to explore.

⛷️ Nordic Countries - this entire area of Europe is opening up fast for tourism and I'll have a front-row seat with ~30 suppliers to provide you with the best options.

Whew!
