Our Japan rowing tour was a tremendous success. It would not have been possible without an amazing team. Huge thank you to the J-Team (that's you James and Kotone) who coordinated everything and ensure amazing food, accommodation, cultural visits and that everything ran smoothly. Thank you to Yuji-san for all the connections and inspiration. Huge thank you to the three rowing clubs that we worked with. We were welcome so warmly, graciously and enthusiastically. Excellent planning, equipment for safe rowing in spectacular settings! Amazing memories!

Photos of the first day of rowing on the Seto Sea. 30 km including crossing the Kurushimo Strait with the fastest tidal currents in Japan. Never been done in a rowing shell before. Our partners at Imabari Rowing Club timed the slack tide perfectly and the rowers did an amazing job of getting across between massive tankers!

For everyone, the highlight of our recent japan rowing tour was the four days we spent rowing from Imabari to Onomichi on the Seto Inland Sea. First time ever! It included crossing a major shipping channel with some of the strongest currents in Japan. Never been done before! But first preparation, with the focus on safety. More photos of the rowing to come this week!

We had two stellar rows with the wonderful Seta Rowing Club in Otsu, near Kyoto. Great fun to take out sculling sixes, including one with dual coxes. First day was down the river, the second day into the south basin of Lake Biwa. The water was a bit lumpy! Where are those coastal boats when we need them?!

Hello! It has been a while since we posted. Just very busy and lots of travel. Including our amazing tour in Japan. I will start sharing photos. This was our first day of rowing on Lake Suwa. The only unfortunate thing about it was that Mount Fuji was hidden behind clouds. Otherwise a wonderful start! We are working on a Travel2Row product there so that more people can enjoy rowing in this beautiful country. Stay tuned!

ANNOUNCING THE GREECE ROWING PASS! - introducing a new concept in rowing travel. Create create a truly customized vacation that includes as much or as little rowing as you want. Decide how many rows you would like to enjoy in total. Select from amongst three regions: Athens (the picture is from where you will row!), Thessaloniki and the Aegean Sea plus Igoumenitsa and the Ionian Sea. Book to finalize exact dates and locations directly with our guides. A minimum of four rowers is required, but smaller groups may be possible with a supplemental fee. Rows do not have to be consecutive. For example, you could buy four rows with your Greece Rowing Pass, then plan a row in Athens, three days later have two rows in Thessaloniki, and then a week later row on the Ionian Sea.
