A big part of why I get to be a DREAM MAKER and not a “dream chaser” is because 6 years ago I joined cohort 2 of Trauma Of Money™️ institute and let it change me forever!

I went back as an alumni in cohort 5 and just never left! 🫣

I get to run my entrepreneurial dreams, money stories and thought processes by a cohort of wise professionals for 4 mths at a time - twice a year!

I get to learn and practice with tools that help me integrate my own wisdom, and trust ME not all the outside voices and visions from systems that weren’t made with me or my success in mind.

This Fall, (September 23rd to be exact), Cohort 15 starts and you really should be there my friend! Join us and become a fellow “TOMrade” or if you’re an Alumni and want a refresh, come on back and sit with us again, we’d love to hear and share in your new wisdom!

When I say I’m “traveling again” what I mean is I’m in a window seat co-piloting my flight!

What I mean is; I’m spending precious time learning more Black & First Nations history!

What I mean is; I’m busy studying the land and sustaining my regenerative relationship as part of nature.

What I mean is; I’m busy pouring into those who pour back!

What I mean is; I’m busy savouring the most delicious grilled cheese sandwich I have ever drooled over! 😋

What I mean is; I’m busy being casually stunning and getting ready to sing my heart out like idc who’s looking or listening!

What I mean is; I’m busy making new friends, building new community and rooting myself in new creative endeavours 🫣

What I mean is; in the words of Adrienne Maree Brown “ancestors use me, I surrender my love to you” 🎶🎶🎶

𝒩ℴ𝓉 𝓂ℯ 𝒻𝒶𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃ℊ 𝒶𝓈𝓁ℯℯ𝓅 𝒶𝓈 ℐ ℊℯ𝓉 𝓈ℴ𝓂ℯ 𝓃ℯ𝓌 𝒶𝓇𝓉𝓌ℴ𝓇𝓀 𝒹ℴ𝓃ℯ 𝒷ℯ𝒻ℴ𝓇ℯ 𝒽ℯ𝒶𝒹𝒾𝓃ℊ 𝒷𝒶𝒸𝓀 𝓉ℴ 𝒞𝒶𝓃𝒶𝒹𝒶! 𝓁ℴ𝓁

Last November I left Vancouver for Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica.

1. I had some research to do for a new client
2. I was celebrating a milestone birthday
3. I was healing from burnout

I returned this July after curating an exceptional event for my client.

More than 1/2 of my year had gone by with lesson after lesson learned and none of them came with any degree of softness - because PV is beautiful but by no means is she gentle!

And even with all her force, I still managed to feel more rested, regulated and like my normal aligned and in tune self. And returned feeling more grounded and wise!

The guidance I received came directly from listening to my ancestors. Never doubting the direction or the path where they led me.

And with that restored self-alignment I knew I had to get some artwork to commemorate the constant love, holding and strength that my beloved ancestors always have for me!

The hummingbird is the national bird of T&T and they’ve been visiting me, carrying messages to me for over 25yrs now.
And I had to let them know that I’ve been listening.

I will always hear their loving whispers! 🇹🇹

For Gilbert & Octavia and those from whom they sprung…for all the generations that made me and hold me always and in all ways! ✨🌍💫

That means looking people in their eyes, caring about the entire human that we’re interacting with in a relational way - not transactional ever!
It means thinking about how we can create circular economies and how we can be regenerative with the environment where we land.
It means making certain our clients are restored and feeling rooted as we create a container where everyone feels that sense of belonging!

When we choose where to eat during a retreat, we’re not just picking a restaurant - at Qmooniti, we understand that we’re choosing a story, a lineage and the labour behind it!

This becomes a very mindful part of the experience we’re creating!

A decolonizing lens asks us to honour the hands that grow, cook and carry the food and the tables we choose to sit at - the tables we are invited to sit at! We must centre local kitchens over colonial convenience. We must invest in spaces where culture isn’t a performance, but honoured as a living inheritance.

Because every meal is a map of who we uplift! And in Qmooniti retreats and travel experiences, we choose nourishment that restores body and land, nourishment that remembers ancestors and keeps community at the centre for JOY!

When “weather” is your focus are you really one w/nature?

I ask myself all the time “what is your problem” ?
Because I love me a storm and heavy tropical rain, but I haven’t “surrendered control” enough (I know theoretically I control nothing) to live that daily and just be ok with it.
