Full disclosure: In May I went on my first EVER All-Inclusive vacation. And now I’m of the opinion that everyone needs (and is deserving of) that level of ultimate relaxation.

Before we left, I was worried I’d get bored. Quite the opposite happened. We had excursions planned, and we cancelled all of them a couple days into our stay in favour of lazing by the pool/ocean for 7 days straight. It was the escape from reality that I didn’t know I needed, and it didn’t take me long to fully surrender to it.

Our stay was as Barceló Maya Grand Resort, in the Adult-Only Riviera resort. We plan to go back there because it was the perfect resort for us. We don’t care for night life or partying, and while there were options for both of those if guests wanted them, it didn’t take over the resort. We got the peace and quiet we wanted!

Zero regrets, we had the best time, and we’ve already added the next one to the calendar.
