I had the rare opportunity this week to work on the Canadian Coast Guard vessel based in Victoria, British Columbia. The crew cabins have commercial wool carpet (non-flammable) that needs cleaning from time to time. It was a wonderful experience and gave me a newfound respect for the coast guards that work on these enormous and amazing vessels. The ship is 68.5 m (224 ft 9 in) long and has a gross tonnage of 2,404.
