What is your favourite Walt Disney World mistake to share?

Mine was from our 2021 trip to Walt Disney World in December. All the parks and resorts were decked out and my wife, Erin, and I were very excited to see the Candlelight Procession at Epcot!

One of the best ways to ensure you see this amazing performance is through a dining package which gives you guaranteed seats for one of that evening's shows. We wanted to do the second show and saw that Biergarten was available - the German Pavilion is one of our favourites and our first choice for a Christmas vibe. Our reservation was for 4:00 pm and we were looking forward to visiting some of the kitchens after we watched the Candlelight Processional.

One other place we REALLY wanted to see during the holidays was Wilderness Lodge and it didn't disappoint! Beautifully decorated with one of the BIGGEST trees we have ever seen. Since we wanted to check it out, we booked Whispering Canyon for a late breakfast/early lunch. If you have eaten there (and Biergarten), you will probably guess my mistake! SOOO much food!

By the time we had to get to Biergarten for our meal, we were not even slightly hungry. I don't think we have ever eaten so little or so slowly during a buffet, which really bummed us out because we really enjoy the hearty food there!

I learned to pay more attention to when we book meals and consider the type of food (and amount) and what else we want to do that day. What we really wanted was a nap!
