June is National Indigenous History Month.
This month, we invite you to learn something new, ask questions, listen to stories, and experience Indigenous history where it actually happened.
Supporting Indigenous tourism means more than booking an experience. It means supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs, Indigenous families, Indigenous jobs, and Indigenous voices right here in Manitoba.
For us, this month is about more than looking back. It’s about helping people understand the stories, relationships, and history that continue to shape this place today.
As a First Nations owned family business, Turtle Tours was created to share Indigenous perspectives in a honest & welcoming way. Every tour is an opportunity to connect people to the land, the waterways, the stories, and the communities that have called this place home for thousands of years.
For many visitors, we are their first Indigenous tourism experience. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. We want every guest to leave with a deeper understanding of the place they live in or are visiting, and a greater appreciation for the people who helped shape it.
The stories are still here. Come walk with us.
