A family visiting from Florida joined us for The Feather We Carry Workshop šŸŖ¶

An Indigenous experience where guests paint their own feather while learning the meaning, teachings, and stories shared throughout the workshop.

We loved hearing their review and having the opportunity to share this experience with them while they were visiting Manitoba.

The Feather We Carry Workshop is offered at The Forks in Winnipeg and in Riding Mountain National Park.

Itā€™s funny how weā€™ll travel somewhere new and want to know everything about it. The history, the people, the stories, why things are the way they are.

You never know who youā€™ll meet on a tour.

This is Sarita, an Indigenous Studies student from Mexico who now lives in New York City. She joined us at The Forks in the middle of a pouring rainstorm, and not once did it take away from the experience.

After the tour, she shared how much she learned about Indigenous peoples in Canada, especially our relationships with the land and the ways sustainability has always been woven into our ways of living.

Weā€™re always amazed by the people who find their way to our tours. Itā€™s an honour to welcome guests from around the world and share the stories, history, and perspectives that make this place so meaningful.

From guided walking tours to Indigenous boat tours, and our combined Land & Water experience, every tour is designed to share the stories, history, and significance of this place through an Indigenous perspective.
