Job has the following requirements:

Wage: $30/h – $33/h – according to the experience
Min: 35 hours a week,
Language: English or French
Minimum 3-5 years experience in similar position,
Work place: Varied location in GTA
Duties:
Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel, Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base, Align and straighten tiles, Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs, Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets, Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite, Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces, Install tile strips.

The Estimator is responsible for reviewing project documents, estimating labor and materials costs, and project timelines to internal and external customers in the preparation and delivery of estimates and proposals.
We are looking for a motivated individual that can work independently and part of a team. We offer competitive salary-based EXPERIENCE

Essential Functions
• Review drawings and tender documents to understand scope of work and submission requirement. Including identifying required scopes/trades and quantities.
• Review contracts prior to bid to ensure that terms, conditions, exclusions, and qualifications included in the owner's contract are appropriately addressed in the cost estimate.
• Estimate self-performed and subcontractor performed work, pricing the labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates at tender stages for review.
• Prepare construction tender packages for project manager.
• Coordinate, obtain, and review vendor and subcontractor quotations prior to bid
• Review design or architect options and/or recommend best solution/alternative based on cost-effectiveness or availability of materials.
• Complete client bid forms and documents required for submission
• Support project management by estimating extra work items and change orders.
• Follow up with clients on bid submissions as required.

We are currently looking for a Junior Estimator to join our team for a 3 – 6-month internship. This candidate must have
construction process knowledge, solid communication, time management skills, initiative, attention to detail and organizational abilities. Your skills should include preparation of material and labor take-offs, purchase order issuance, variance analysis and vendor pricing. Previous experience with estimating software and take offs would be beneficial.
