That Boboye Engineering is bringing to the African market an innovative and cost competitive product in the solar systems home applications is no joke. But before that, we need to discuss what is energy management in respect to solar power systems.

Energy management is the essence of knowing your "real" energy requirements, the "essential" energy needs, and ultimately how to balance the two for effective and reliable electricity power delivery. In the African contest, the word "energy" was changed to "electricity power" in the last sentence. Yes, and I will explain why as follows.

In Africa (Sub-Saharan to be precise), the important energy need is the electricity. Cooking is done using gas, and hot water is mainly delivered through independent water heaters (boilers), even the HVAC is delivered via electricity with the letter "H" omitted. Therefore, when we have quality and uninterruptible electricity power delivery, we have all we need in terms of household energy.

How then do we go about energy management, in respect to solar power systems?
