🚀✨ I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend my birthday week than at the International Space University in Strasbourg, France.

Learning (and reminding myself!) what it means to study remote sensing in geographical terms was both grounding and inspiring. I truly enjoyed every moment and I need to tell you a secret: there’s something uniquely special about the space communities I’m part of. It’s been such a privilege to learn, exchange ideas, and dream together with brilliant minds from around the world. Still feeling that vibe even on the other side of the border 😂

My stay in Strasbourg also became a little journey of reflection about purpose, creativity, and what’s next.

Last year, I shared my life lessons.

This year, I’d love to share a few hopes for the future.

💫 I hope for a world where everyone has access to resources, opportunities, and courage to turn their imagination into action.

🤖 I hope we stop fearing our systems and start shaping them consciously.

AI, for example, doesn’t diminish us; it can amplify our humanity when designed with wisdom and care.

I've spent a lot of time in the last months thinking about why art matters.

And I realized that art is fundamental to what makes us human.

Throughout history, art has served as humanity's mirror, reflecting our deepest truths, struggles, and aspirations. It captures moments that words cannot express and preserves the essence of civilizations long after they've vanished.

When we encounter a painting that stops us in our tracks, hear music that moves us to tears, or read poetry that perfectly articulates feelings we couldn't name, we're experiencing art's profound power to connect us to something larger than ourselves.

Art matters because it develops our capacity for empathy by showing us the world through different perspectives. It challenges our assumptions and broadens our understanding of human experience across cultures, time periods, and circumstances. When we engage with art, we're not just passive observers, we're active participants in a dialogue that spans generations, connecting us to the thoughts and emotions of people we'll never meet but whose humanity we recognize instantly.

Beyond its emotional impact, art trains our minds to think creatively and see possibilities where others see limitations. It teaches us to embrace ambiguity, find beauty in unexpected places, and express complex ideas in ways that logic alone cannot achieve. We're delighted to partner with AAP Partners in supporting the powerful exhibition "Cracks in Time: The Decade of Change Seen Through Her Eyes," curated and documented by Kiyono Sakash*ta in collaboration with AAP Gallery (www.aap-gallery.one).

This compelling joint exhibition features six outstanding Chinese contemporary artists - Chen Xi, Feng Jiali, Huang Min, Shi Liu, Yang Na, and Yu Ping - exploring the past decade through the intimate lens of the feminine experience. Happy International Children’s Day! 🌟

Today, let’s celebrate not only the children around us but also the child that still lives within each of us. May every child, and the child inside each adult, always be safe, healthy, and joyful. Let’s nurture curiosity, protect innocence, and create a world where every young dream has the chance to flourish. 💫

In the picture, that’s me, around six years old, eyes wide open, deeply amazed by the wonders of life. Looking back, I’m reminded of the power of wonder, imagination, and unfiltered joy.

May we all remember to see the world with that same curiosity, hope, and awe, no matter our age. Here’s to keeping the spirit of childhood alive in our hearts and in our communities.
