🚌 Through the 60s and 70s people traveled overland from London to Nepal making a route that later became known as the Hippie Trail.

⛰️They went hitchhiking, buses or in groups for months crossing continents together in old trucks through Europe, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. They slept wherever they could, washed on the road and figured things out as they went.

Later wars and political changes shut the route down and it hasn’t existed in this form since.

But we still travel like that. Just this year we have crossed Sahara by car, been to some of the most remote Islands on Earth and next week we’re starting a new trip across Cambodia by tuk-tuk. Stay tuned🛺

In 1973, Anne-France Dautheville, at just 29 years old, became the first woman to ride a motorcycle solo around the world 🌍

🏍️ She rode a 125cc Kawasaki across 3 continents, covering around 20,000+ km through Canada, Alaska, Japan, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and Europe.
