FB friends n fans, just a small blue marlin this morning, never before we caught this many in a space of a few days. This is number 4. Good practice before the 100+ kilos shows up. This one is 55kgs.

Looks like an early marlin season for us this year. 1st ever double hit for Te Kiva Nui in one trip and the 3rd for us this week so far. I heard 7 caught in the last few days in total with the heaviest being 312kgs.

Many of my friends that comes out fishing faces some form of sea sickness. 11yr old Noah Zhou from Christchurch is no different. I started around his age too and took some time to develop the old sea legs. We had 8 strikes and landed 4. He goes "sh*@ I broke your rod" thats when I knew I have a new friend.....
