🔥Sayram Lake
Dear friends, let us journey together to one of Xinjiang’s most breathtaking natural wonders—Sayram Lake, often called the “Last Tear of the Atlantic.” Nestled among the western Tianshan Mountains, this magnificent alpine lake is famous for its crystal-clear blue waters that shimmer under the sunlight like a sapphire set between snow-capped peaks and vast grasslands.

During summer, the lakeshore transforms into a colorful sea of wildflowers. Fields of yellow, purple, and white blossoms spread across the grassland, creating a spectacular natural landscape. At sunrise, the golden light gently reflects on the rippling lake, while in the evening the sunset paints the sky and water in glowing shades of orange, pink, and violet.

We will drive along the scenic road around the lake, stopping along the way to admire the breathtaking views of mountains, forests, grasslands, and the sparkling lake. Take time to walk through the flower fields, breathe the fresh mountain air, and fully immerse yourself in the tranquility and beauty of this remarkable alpine paradise.

🔥Xinjiang Jiaohe Ruins—Silk Road UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Jiaohe sits on an elevated platform between deep river valleys, turning it into a natural fortress. It was an pivotal stop on the Silk Road until it was destroyed by the Mongols. Because all buildings were made in the rammed earth or stacked mud-technique, the elements have not been kind and it is hard to picture the grandeur of this site. Because of recent renovations you can now walk on a paved path and onto timber platforms to overlook it.
What is clear is that it was originally a Uyghur/Tocharian bastion, until the Tang Dynasty established invested in a ring of fortresses to safeguard their trade West-ward. The prevalence of Buddhist Pagodas, Temples and Stupas also testify of the extensive transmission of Buddhism in the Turpan Basin.Anyone with an interest in the history of the Silk Road will appreciate a visit to Yarkhoto.

💥Highlights:
1. Architectural wonders: Unlike ordinary cities built by piling up bricks or earth, Jiaohe was carved downwards from a single loess plateau using the unique pedestal excavation method.
2.The symbol of the Silkroad Monument: The site retains well-preserved remains of administrative offices, residences, Buddhist temples, pagodas and underground passages, laid out in a grid plan similar to Chang’an, the Tang Dynasty capital. A total of 53 temples and 101 pagodas bear witness to the prosperity of Buddhism along the Silk Road.
