Foreign vloggers and journalists from Chinese and foreign media outlets watched a performance by Jin Opera artist Wu Lingyun in Yuncheng, Shanxi province, popularly known as the hometown of Guan Gong, on Tuesday.

On stage, Wu brought Guan Gong's spirit of loyalty and righteousness to life through a vivid Jin Opera performance. During the event, Wu also taught young performers the postures and movements of traditional opera. Foreign content creators, visibly delighted, stepped onto the stage to try their hand, experiencing firsthand the unique charm of traditional Chinese opera.

China Southern Airlines launched its first Michelin-inspired in-flight meal, “Cloud Feast: Chaoshan Delicacies”, on Sept 20.

Available to eligible Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers on selected international long-haul flights departing from Guangzhou, the meal brings the flavors of a traditional Chaoshan family feast to the skies. Expect local favorites such as braised goose, Chaoshan-style rice, and beef with satay sauce, complemented by herbal sweet fruits and ice cream.

The experience goes beyond food, with a full set of “Cloud Cotton” tableware designed to showcase the elegance of Eastern aesthetics.

Passengers can pre-order the meal via the China Southern Airlines app or mini-program up to 24 hours before departure. The service is currently available on selected flights from Guangzhou to destinations including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, London, Madrid, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Nairobi.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, Kunshan, in East China's Jiangsu province, is glowing brighter than ever. The 2026 Cross-Strait (Kunshan) Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival has been underway since Sept 16, with two main venues at Huiju Plaza and Zhouzhuang Ancient Town. Lantern displays at the two venues will run through Oct 7 and Oct 31, respectively.

The lantern installations feature exquisite designs incorporating elements of intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship, offering visitors a visual feast.
