Customer Share | Wandering Chengdu at 24: Four Must-Visit Spots Hold Comfortable Moments✨
Customer Share: At 24, I prefer "immersive experiences" over "hurried sightseeing" in travels. This time, I traveled to Chengdu and locked in four classic landmarks: Kuanzhai Alleys, Jinli Ancient Street, Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, and Chunxi Road. In the slow rhythm, I understood the daily charm and romance of this city.
The first stop in the morning is the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Arriving before the crowds, I happened to see "Huahua" napping on a wooden frame—her round face is so cute it’s irresistible. Several red pandas are jumping between branches, lively and adorable. The sun casts light spots through the bamboo forest; after wandering around the park slowly, the air is filled with a healing vibe.
The afternoon is spent at Kuanzhai Alleys. Bluestone paths wind through, with the liveliness of Kuan Alley and the tranquility of Zhai Alley complementing each other. In the old tea houses, bamboo chairs, covered-bowl tea, and Sichuan opera face-changing performances add to the charm. Order a cup of Bitan Piaoxue tea, listen to uncles chatting at the next table, and instantly integrate into the daily life of old Chengdu. The cultural and creative stores and intangible cultural heritage workshops in the alleys are worth exploring slowly; buy a portion of sugar oil fruits casually, and the sweet fragrance lingers around the nose.
In the evening, head to Jinli Ancient Street. Red lanterns are lit one after another, casting a warm glow on the blue tiles and white walls. This is a microcosm of Chengdu's daily charm, with rows of characteristic snack shops offering egg cakes, three big guns (a Sichuan snack), sad cold noodles, and more. Wander slowly along the bluestone roads, watch street artists perform shadow puppetry, and occasionally walk into a cultural and creative store to choose souvenirs. Jinli at night is romantic and healing.
The last stop is Chunxi Road to feel Chengdu's fashion and vitality. The giant panda sculpture on the roof of IFS is a must-photograph landmark. After taking a photo with the "wall-climbing panda", wander around the numerous shopping malls and trendy stores. When tired, find a milk tea shop to rest. Chunxi Road is brightly lit at night, with traffic and crowds interweaving, showing the diverse charm of this city.
My trip to Chengdu at 24 was not about hurried check-ins, but about slow enjoyment. From cute pandas to ancient street charm, from local tea houses to fashion districts, every aspect of this city is fascinating. See you next time, Chengdu~
