Where do I even start? We were honored to run into the matriarch herself, grizzly 399 and her 4 cubs this past Fall. A brief history, grizzly 399 is the most famous bear in the world. She’s 24 years old and the oldest grizzly living outside of a zoo. At least 22 bears are descended from her. Four-cub litters are rare, especially at her age. She is truly unique and loved by many!

Our 2nd hike this Fall to Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park. The leaves are changing colors and you can see through to the bottom of the calm lake on this day. Waterfalls can be seen in the distant mountains through the billowing clouds. A different setting from our first hike in over the Summer.
