I'm Getting a Sunday Major named after me on ACR Poker! This is so cool!!!

The PLO Adventure just got even more exciting.

The $215 Sunday PLO8 $10k gtd will soon be renamed to Gripsed's Gambit 🔥 (AA23 is the nuts in this game in case you aren't familiar 😉 )

ACR definitely knows how to make a streamer feel appreciated.

They've done so much for me

1) Hired me as a streamer = steady income & foundation

2) Created homegames for me with $1000 added every week = extra value for my community

3) Made me a custom avatar = feel like a feature in the ACR client

4) Promoted me to their 'Team Online' = feeling recognized for the effort I put in

5) Now naming a tournament after me = helping grow the greatest game of PLO8

What more could a guy ask for?

P.S. shoutout to for making this awesome AI pic to make a mascot for the new Gripsed's Gambit PLO8 tournament! ❤️

$6556 for🏆 Crucial Hand from my biggest Final Table of the year (so far)...

Love all the PLO8 action on ACR especially during OSS series' and the Venom where prize pools are pumped up and new faces try their hand at this great game

Here's to going after more high scores in 2026 🍻

Another big step in the PLO Adventure! 4th in the Wednesday $215 PKO for almost $1000 dollars!

Since learning PLO8 a year ago one of my goals was to be able to play this weekly $215 and be +EV

Welp, after another great PLO8 session, I feel like I can say that I am 🤭

This session I opted to just play one table so I could really focus and it paid off. I was able to think through hands much more clearly and make better decisions under pressure.

This helped me
1) Get the early big stack and play deeper most of the tournament (way more fun than playing short)

2) Collect $200 in Bounties before we even made the money!

While we didn't close it out, we had a great run and an absolute ton of fun!

Checking in on the goals again here they are
1 - Win the daily $55 PLO8 (top finish 1st) ✅️
2 - Win the weds/sun $215 PLO8 (top finish 3rd)
3 - Win the sun $630 PLO8 (top finish 4th)
4 - Win a live PLO8 event (1st tourney in April)

Feeling confident, blessed, and grateful 🙏

Excited to keep learning, keep practicing and keep playing.

Now that we've made the big final tables it's time to shoot for those 1st place finishes!

This one really hurt 😞 Set the trap with QQ in the $2650 venom on ACR & I forgot the most important thing...

In this crazy world of gambling It's important to have friends who understand 🙃

1) variance, some days will go great and others will suck

2) expected value is a key thing we make our decisions on, volatility is just the price of admission

3) you can't get results if you never rake any risks

4) bankroll management is king above all

5) not everything has to be high stakes, playing games just for fun is a great way to unwind

6) what did I miss? Tell me in the comments!

It's important to get Max Value out of your big hands when you get them

Sometimes, that means playing them slow instead of playing them fast

The best times to slowplay Aces in a tournament are

1) When you have under 20 Big Blinds

Because the downside of getting outflopped is much less than the upside of your opponent flopping a pair or draw that could double you up

And remember, with Aces, you're an 80% favorite against most hands, so it's a risk you can take.

2) When the opener is playing a wide range

If the opener is loose, they'll have a lot of hands that will fold to your raise. But by just calling, you force them to see a flop which may get them committed

3) When you have aggressive players behind you

Aggressive players love to squeeze against weak ranges. When you just call a raise (especially in later position) they're more likely to think your range is capped.

That invites the door for them to put in more chips with hands that would fold to a 3-bet (like you can see in the video)

-

There are lots more things to consider, but this is a great place to start from for adding some trickiness to your game.

Try this move out in your next poker tournament and see if it brings you more chips than you would've got by playing them faster!

Wow! 4th place for $3600 & it was my first time ever playing this tournament!!!

I had been wanting to play this tournament for a while but never mustered up the courage to

Fortunately, my community is the best, and they encouraged me to take a shot at it this weekend (even my arch nemesis from the plo8 tables said this format would probably be very +EV for me)

They knew what was best for me, and even though I didn't think I was 'ready' for this buyin level, I had to trust what the universe was telling me

And I've gotta say once I decided I'd play the emotional feedback I got was off the charts. I was excited, I was confident, I was super looking forward to playing it and... it was for good reason

After busting the Venom 5 hours in on a bad beat I didn't get upset, I didn't get tilted, I simply shifted my focus to the next task at hand, the $630 BIG-O

And 6 hours later I found myself at the final Table, mystery Bounties in pocket, and climbing the ladders for bigger paydays.

I caught some great runouts and laddered up my way to a new PLO8 High Score, $3500!

My last hand was rough, losing with AAQQ2 to a much lesser hand. But it's all good.

I saw that my hard work, studying, and practice are really working, and the joy I felt playing this event reminded me that this is the game I love the most.

Huge thanks to everyone who was there watching it live, their support means the world to me and always helps me stay on my A-Game.

Cheers to a great stream and a new high score

Excited to see what's next!
