🌿 LOOK CLOSER. LEAVE NO TRACE. 🐚🦀
This little hermit crab may look adorable in a plastic container, but this is a moment to stop and think.
Plastic does not belong in the home of our wildlife. 🥺🌊
When we visit the Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, we are entering a living ecosystem—not a place to collect, capture, or display its inhabitants.
🦀 Hermit crabs need their natural environment to feed, move, hide, and survive.
🌊 Plastic can become litter, break into microplastics, and harm marine and coastal wildlife.
🌱 Every piece of plastic we refuse, reduce, or remove is a small step toward protecting this fragile ecosystem.
And this is one of the reasons having a knowledgeable local guide matters.
A good guide doesn't just show you wildlife. A guide helps you understand how to observe without disturbing, what you can touch—and what you should never touch—and why every creature has a role in the ecosystem.
✨ Come curious.
Come respectful.
Come ready to learn.
Take memories, not wildlife.
The best wildlife encounter is the one where the animal walks away exactly as you found it. 💚
Manzanillo is not just a beautiful beach. It is a living treasure—and together, we can protect it.
