Training the next generation of climbers.

We're currently at the height of our school residential season and it's such a thrill to be asked to work with so many amazing young people!

They bring energy, enthusiasm and fun to our sport.

We provide climbing skills training at all levels for schools.

- from one day taster sessions, as part of a multi sport, adventure residential.

- to full on, two year GCSE and A Level courses where the students specialise in a range of climbing skills and are assessed by an independent moderator as part of their Physical Education syllabus.

We had lots of fun this weekend, hosting a foraging workshop in the Pafos Forest.

Following routes taken by Venetian traders from 500 years ago, we imagined what they and their animals could have eaten as they made their way along the rugged trails.

We identified numerous edible plants as well as many poisonous species!

Stopping at the bridges they would have crossed, we also looked at ways to naturally filter the river water.

It was really interesting to step back in time and to follow in the footsteps of these ancient traders as they travelled through the mountains.

We also stopped at the traditional mountain village of Kaminaria where we drank coffee and chatted to several of the village inhabitants - these beautiful villages are the life-blood of the mountains and should be cherished!

It's been our absolute pleasure over the last two days to have hosted the amazing year 9 and year 10 students from Lumio Private School

Climbing, abseiling, knot tying, belaying and a wide range of team games and challenges.

We were absolutely thrilled, on a recent hike in the Pafos Forest, to see this baby mouflon.

It was probably no more than a couple of days old!

We were so lucky to spot this incredible animal - the mouflon is the national animal of Cyprus.

Endangered and protected, thankfully the mouflon population is currently increasing, following years of concerning decline because of habitat loss and illegal hunting.

We hope this little guy/girl has a long and happy future in the forest!

What a fab day, kayaking and snorkelling with a talented group of year 9 students.

We visited Geronisos Island where the students observed a nesting pair of Peregrine Falcons that we have been monitoring during the last couple of months, numerous sea birds AND, later on, we observed a pair of adult Monk Seals.

These gorgeous mammals are among the rarest in the world, with only around 500 in existence.

A huge well done to the students.

ROCK CLIMBING IN PAPHOS.

Last October, we gave away a prize to a local cancer support charity, for their coffee morning raffle. The prize was a voucher for a climbing experience for two people.

Karen was the lucky winner and brought a friend along recently, to enjoy a morning of climbing and abseiling with us.

They were both beginners and did an absolutely brilliant job, tackling a variety of climbs AND a challenging abseil.

WELL DONE!
