🎼🎶Here is a post for the lovers of Classical Music and everyone who appreciates the fine things in life.
Bedřich Smetana is considered the father of Czech music. His work belongs to the period of Romanticism. He was a naturally gifted composer, who pioneered in the development of a musical style that is closely associated with the Czech aspirations for independence.
The link bellow features Vltava, the second symphonic poem from the cycle My homeland (Má vlast in Czech), composed in 1874.
The composition depicts the flow of the longest river in the Czech Republic. I hope you'd like it as much as I do.

🌷 Do you like tulips? 🌷Did you know that this spring-blooming flowers came to Europe in the distant 60s of the 16th century, and it was in the Royal Garden of Prague Castle that they were grown for the first time? A little known fact is that it was from here that they spread to the Netherlands few years later, and they became symbol of the nation. It's also interesting that at this time, a single onion bulb of a tulip costed as much as 2 houses!🌷🏡🏡
Another interesting story about the Royal Garden follows.
This place was especially popular with Emperor Rudolph II, who was using it abundantly during his court pastimes. He got a lion 🦁 as a present from the Turkish sultan👳‍♂️ and he kept it in the garden. The famous astronomer Tyco Brahe 💫🧙‍♂️💫 was a resident of the court at that time, and while preparing a horoscope for the king 🔮 , he discovered that the lion 🦁 and the Emperor 🤴👑 are born in the same sign and their destinies are connected, meaning they will die at the same time. For this reason, Rudolph II tuck a very good care of the lion and personally supervised his health. In few years time however, the astronomer's prediction has fulfilled - the Emperor and the lion died shortly following one another.
