Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czech_Republic). City with long historical and culture tra
dition (listed on UNESCO herritage list) but it is not an "open-air museum" but a modern and living city. Basic facts:
Location: 50°05′N 14°25′E
Population 1 250 000 inhabitants (it is the largest Czech city. The population of Czech Republic is approx. 10 millions). Density: 2,522.3/km2
Main sites:
Prague Castle: historical seat of Czech kings. Vitus Cathedral. Largest castle complex in the whole world. Old Town with Astronomical Clock (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82-Zo_hFcCE)
Charles Bridge: Gothic bridge decorated by 30 groups of barrogue statues - called "open-air" gallery. Jewish Quarter with Old-New Synagogue and Old Cemetery. Lesser Town with St. Nicholaus Church, Infant Jesus and plenty of romantic streets. And last but not least: Czech beer is the world´s best and if you like this drink you must come and taste as much brands as possible! The aim is not to get drunk and fall down the table, but 2 or 3 beers will make you understand everythink for a while :-)
