From Valbona to Koman Lake, our Albanian Alps adventure was like stepping into another world. 🌍 The road less traveled led us to Valbona, a hidden gem that wasn't even on our radar a few weeks ago.
We navigated serpentine roads, enjoyed the emerald waters of Koman Lake, and embraced the simplicity of Valbona's countryside life.
And oh, the cows! 🐄 Our attempts to shoo them away were met with comedic defiance, until an unexpected hero emerged: a badass grandma who showed us who's boss! 💪👵
As for food, our budget challenges turned into culinary discoveries. From Balkan cheese to homemade fig jam, every bite was a delight. 🧀🍯
Our journey reminded us of our backpacking days in Southeast Asia. So much so, I restarted writing our travel blog (see link in bio if you want to read more about our Albanian adventures).
