My second day in the Fichtelgebirge region started with a visit of the Fichtelsee - and despite the rainy and cloudy weather (a perfect representation of the German summer 2021 by the way…🙈), it’s been great exploring the peaceful nature, far away from the busy city life🙏🏼 I guess I have to come back another time to go for a swim though!😄

Hello from beautiful Fichtelgebirge! I’m honest - before my visit with Fichtelgebirge, I barely knew anything about this region and therefore had no idea about what to expect from my trip - and it seems like I’ve discovered a true hidden gem!😍

Far away from the crowds, the Fichtelgebirge region offers beautiful forests, hills and valleys and is the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway in the nature🌲

My first stop was the Felsenlabyrinth Luisenburg, where a hiking path takes you through massive granite rocks up to some beautiful viewpoints of the surroundings 🙌🏻

Have you already been to Bayreuth? This town in northern Bavaria is famous in Germany for its Bayreuther Festival every summer (Richard-Wagner-Festspiele), but there’s so much more to see and to do!🙌🏻 I spent a beautiful day in Bayreuth, visiting the Eremitage gardens, exploring the old town, enjoying the views from the church tower and of course marveling at the incredible Opera House - an UNESCO World Heritage built in the 18th century😱😍

As you can see, there’s a lot to see and to do in Bayreuth and one day was barely enough - I highly recommend visiting, if you haven’t been yet!😊

Some of the must-sees around Lake Constance are the impressive Pfahlbauten in Unteruhldingen (here’s where you can see how people lived on the lake thousands of years ago!) as well as the small town of Meersburg, with incredible views of the castle and the lake 🏰😍 Have you already been there?

There’s so much to see and to do around Lake Constance! A short bus ride from Überlingen, you’ll find Salem Castle and Monastery with its beautiful gardens - a visit is well worth it!🙌🏻

The beautiful town of Überlingen am Bodensee is always worth a visit - and this summer, even more! Currently, the Landesgartenschau is taking place until October, which was supposed to happen already last year🌺

Therefore, you can visit the different areas of the Landesgartenschau around Überlingen - parts of it even reach into the lake! A trip is certainly well worth it - Have you already been, are you planning to visit?😊🙌🏻

The second day of my trip around the Lake Constance region took me to the city of Konstanz as well as to the beautiful flower island of Mainau!🌺

These two highlights shouldn’t be missed - while Konstanz offers a beautiful historic old town, the Island of Mainau is the perfect opportunity to explore the incredible flower installation in the beautiful nature🙌🏻

Hi from beautiful Lake Constance!😍 Last week, I left Berlin and went on a trip to Lake Constance⛵️ in the beautiful state of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany🙌🏻

Great news - my home state Baden-Württemberg is FINALLY opening up for tourism again!🎉 In regions with low infection numbers; hotels, restaurants and sights are accessible again for visitors - for example in beautiful Heidelberg and the Lake Constance region. Time to start planning a spring / summer getaway?😍I’m already super excited for my upcoming trip to Lake Constance in July🙌🏻

With so many things happening in 2020, this post was long overdue… In this personal article, I’m sharing how I experienced the pandemic, why I decided to move away from full-time traveling (spoiler: it was not because of Corona) and how I ended up settling in Berlin, pursuing a new career opportunity.

Has anyone of you been to Magdeburg already? The State Capital of Saxony-Anhalt might not be one of Germany’s most famous tourist hotspots, but offers lots of cool sights and attractions for its visitors - such as Hundertwasser's Green Citadel, the Magdeburg Cathedral as well as plenty of parks and green spaces🍃🍂

Since the city is located along the Elbe River, make sure to go for a walk along the promenade - the views are gorgeous, especially during sunset😍
