Together with 4 journalists from Germany, our colleague Simone was able to experience the start of spring in Finland, in the Wild Taiga region. The programme included the impressive Khumo Arts Centre, rapid floating including an adrenaline rush and the almost 1,000 silent people in Khumo. The programme continued with a bike tour, the obligatory sauna and an exciting lecture by astronomer Rob Johnstone at Lentiira Holiday Village. The trip ended at the impressive Arctic Giant Guesthouse with a view over the vastness of the Arctic Lakelands The trip was also a culinary highlight.

The stylish Marriott W Hotel Doha on the Persian Gulf became a chic temporary home. The Ned, Raffles, St. Regis, and Fairmont also showcased what modern luxury hospitality in Doha means. ✨
Unforgettable days filled with local soul at Embrace Doha, breathtaking architecture at the Qatar National Library 📚, and a journey from peaceful Heenat Salma Farm 🌿 to thrilling dune rides in the desert 🏜️.

Last week, we brought a taste of the Balearic Islands to Germany!

On the 1st of April in Cologne and the 3rd of April in Hamburg, two vibrant events took place on behalf of our client AETIB (Balearic Islands Agency for Tourism Strategy), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Balearic Islands.

The goal? To showcase the region’s finest agri-food products to German professionals from the gastronomy, retail, and media sectors.
From golden olive oil and fruity jams to artisan cheeses and elegant wines – guests had the opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of the Balearic Islands through guided tastings and direct interactions with passionate producers.

Each event was structured in two parts:
🧀 Afternoon: A B2B session with importers and distributors
🍷 Evening: A press and travel trade gathering, including live showcooking and tapas networking

The result? Two successful events full of great conversations, new connections, and lots of culinary inspiration.

Big thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating the richness and diversity of Balearic gastronomy!

🌳 Today, on March 21st, is International Day of Forests which highlights the importance of all types of forests and raises awareness. 🌳
In this spirit, we turn to the healing power of nature. 🌲
Directly facing the massifs of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hideaway .dolomites is located amidst thick mountain forests on the southern slope of the Plose mountain. The Celts, who had already settled in the area around the FORESTIS, drew their knowledge of the human body from the teachings of nature. They felt a particularly close connection to the forest. This is why nature, the forest and the teachings of the Celts are the pillars of the FORESTIS Spa. 🌿

Von atemberaubender Architektur 🌆 über exklusive Ramadan Erlebnisse 🌙 bis hin zu tiefen Einblicken in die Kultur Katars 🕌🐪🌴 – dieser Stopover war ein voller Erfolg! 🎉 Die Teilnehmer waren fasziniert von der modernen und zugleich traditionellen Seite Dohas! 😍✨

📌 Vom 13. bis 18. Dezember waren Dorothea und unsere Kolleginnen Monika, Eva und Lena als Gäste des neuen Kunden Visit Qatar im Rahmen des jährlichen Rep Office Meetings in Doha, Katar.

Während der vier spannenden Tage konnten unsere Kolleginnen das Reiseziel und seine verschiedenen Facetten – von der reichen Kultur über die atemberaubende Architektur bis hin zur Gastfreundschaft und erstklassigen Freizeit- und MICE-Einrichtungen – kennenlernen. Bei verschiedenen Dinner-Erlebnissen, informativen Meetings, einer Stadtrundfahrt, Besichtigungen von Veranstaltungsorten, Museumsbesuchen und einer Wüstensafari hatte das Team die Gelegenheit, alle wichtigen Akteure aus Katar kennenzulernen und eine gute Grundlage für die zukünftige Zusammenarbeit mit Visit Qatar zu schaffen.

Letzte Woche fand der VUSA Media Christmas Market in der Privatresidenz des Generalkonsuls der Vereinigten Staaten in München statt. 🇺🇸 Unsere Kolleginnen Claudia und Rebecca haben die Destinationen Visit Bradenton Gulf Islands und Visit Fort Myers bei dem Medienevent vertreten.

Es war ein erfolgreicher Abend voller persönlicher Gespräche und lebhaftem Austausch in einer festlichen Atmosphäre. 🎄✨

Letzte Woche durfte unsere Kollegin Kendra unseren Kunden Atlantis Dubai bei einem exklusiven Mediendinner in Zürich vertreten. Gemeinsam mit den Kollegen von Emirates und Visit Dubai tauschte man sich in geselliger Runde mit den Vertretern der wichtigsten Schweizer Medien aus und genoss dabei die hochwertige Küche des berühmten Restaurants IGNIV im Herzen der schönen Altstadt von Zürich. Teneriffa nahm an den DAV Summit Days 2024 teil, die letzte Woche in München stattfanden. Die Teilnehmer hatten die Gelegenheit, Neuigkeiten über die Insel zu erfahren und mit den Inselrepräsentanten ins Gespräch zu kommen. Und natürlich ein sehr leckeres typisches Menü zu probieren! 😋
