I’m thrilled to announce that I have been selected to attend the Future Leaders in Travel Retreat from August 31-September 2, happening virtually. Future Leaders is the only event in the industry dedicated to connecting the next generation of travel advisors and suppliers. While there, I’ll be making new connections with suppliers through collaborative content sessions, unique networking experiences, activities, and newly added small group appointments. Feel free to reach out to me with questions about this award-winning event, or visit www.futureleadersintravel.com to learn more.

The first time I ever tried an Orange Wine was in Slovenia. Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone when it comes to wine varietals! There’s so many wonderful surprises waiting.

Orange wines, a.k.a. skin-contact or amber wines, are perfect for anyone seeking new flavors. Learn how these wines are made and what to start with.

This photo has no filter and remains one of the most gorgeous travel photos I have in my repertoire. This is Isola Bella found nearby the quaint hilltop village of Taormina, Sicily.
Taormina is a must on any Sicilian itinerary - you can easily reach it from the Catania airport or by traveling east from Palermo. The small, narrow streets brim with flowers, the main piazza overlooks endless blue sea, and there’s more amazing food and gelato than could ever be discovered in a single visit.
Other villages nearby make for easy day trips, and there’s plenty to lazily explore in Taormina itself while enjoying the Sicilian way of life.
And lest you forget - Sicily is an island! So make sure to map out time for a beach day (or two!). Who’s ready to explore Sicily? If you’ve been before, tell us your favorite discovery there!

This photo is from EIGHT! years ago but it will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m sharing the story behind why it’s so special and meaningful today in my stories. Join me there for a taste of one of my favorite places in the whole world, and somewhere that feels just like going home.

Any guesses on where this pic was taken? Hint: it’s one of the world’s most beautiful islands.

There’s no better place for our family to social distance than in the north woods of Wisconsin. are my in-laws’ properties just about 2 hours north from Milwaukee but they feel a world away from the city.

“Up North” is such a common phrase around these parts and yet it’s really unidentifiable on a map. Basically, ‘Up North’ to a Wisconsinite is where we go to find calm - away from the rat race of regular life - and it usually involves a body of water, the peace of nature, and way less people than normal life. ‘Up North’ is much more about the emotion and the mood than the physical location. Which is what makes it such a great place for getting in a staycation, especially during these times when doing less is more.

Do you have a special place that brings you a sense of calm and peacefulness? Are you finding yourself more interested in getting away in nature and more secluded destinations thanks to covid? Let me know your ideal place to social distance in the comments below. Stay safe, stay healthy!🏕🛶

I don’t think I’ve ever introduced myself before and since today is it seemed like a good time to do it.
Hi! My name is Angela. A relative newbie to the industry, I jumped in headfirst almost 2 years ago after leaving a high-pressure retail career that I had fallen out of love with. I’ve been obsessed with traveling since I was 9 when I went to London for the first time & came back with a fake British accent. I wanted to put that passion to work for others.
These past two years have been a whirlwind of learning&growth - including a tremendous amount of time spent in self-doubt & questioning my sanity for changing careers. If you thought being a travel advisor was all about glamorous jaunts around the world, you’re definitely missing the point.
What I’ve discovered most is that this career takes major fortitude. It takes stamina, perseverance, & incredibly thick skin (I can’t tell you how many times someone has walked in our office door & essentially questioned our entire existence as a profession).
But more than anything, being successful in this career takes heart. The giving kind. The caring kind. The listening & the genuine kind. The I’m-going-to-fight-for-every-dollar-for-my-client kind in the face of a global crisis that will have long lasting repercussions no one could have ever imagined.
Despite the challenges of working in an incredibly complex industry, I LOVE what I’m doing now more than ever. And it’s not because of the amazing places I get to go, but because I’ve found such a thrill in getting to know my clients intimately & preparing for them the types of life-changing trips that open their minds&their hearts to all of the incredible experiences this world has to offer. I pour my heart into each client trip as if it were my own. I’m honored with the trust that clients place in me - not only to fulfill their travel dreams, but also to become their friend, their confidant, their therapist, even, & now, more than ever, their advisor.
So thank you to all of my clients for supporting me in my new(ish) journey & to all of the advisors out there who inspire me every day with their creativity, strength, and positivity.

Sweet surprises from clients are always the day’s highlight - especially on ! I’m always preaching about how important it is to take every vacation day offered to you (just ask my family!) - whether it’s for a grand adventure or something more low key - it’s critical for your mental AND physical health to disconnect from your everyday and place yourself in new surroundings every once in awhile. No vacation day should ever be wasted and I’m ALWAYS honored and humbled when clients put their trust in me to take those precious days and design something special for them.
Are your 2020 plans mapped out yet?! Let me know where I can help send you next! ✈️

The little town of Gengenbach really took me by surprise! What a hidden gem! is the only cruise line to takes guests here and I’m so glad I went! The markets were fantastic - full of delicious food, wine, beer, and handicrafts - as well as the World’s Largest Advent Calendar. Each night they perform a small, German performance with village children and then reveal a new window for advent as the grand finale. A very local experience!

Every corner of Strasbourg was more picturesque than the last. So much to discover in the city from important buildings of the European Union to amazing restaurants, quaint shops, half-timbered buildings, the incredible gothic cathedral with detail that has to be seen to be believed and so much more! Strasbourg is home to the oldest Christmas Markets and the city teems with festive spirit at Christmas. But I’m also told the summer time has its own charm and I can’t wait to come back and visit then.
Are you ready to cruise the Rhine and discover cities and towns like Strasbourg? You won’t find a better line than ... give me a shout to get the planning started for 2020 or 2021, these cruises sell-out FAST!

Charming European Village Alert!
Riquewihr, France in Alsace is so impossibly adorable I wanted to get lost in the streets all day long. Vin Chaud on every corner, Alsacien specialities, charming markets to sample local delicacies, and a literal story-book atmosphere (this town was the inspiration for Beauty & the Beast - can you tell?!
It’s also right around the corner from Colmar, another perfect little village. One major thing I’m discovering on this River Cruise is that I can’t wait to come back to Alsace by car and explore more..

Something extra special about River Cruises is that every guest is able to eat at the wonderful Chef’s Table restaurant that takes you through a 5 course meal with wine pairings, it a beautiful room with floor to ceiling windows and an open kitchen where you can watch the chef work.
All guests receive an invite here for one evening during their cruise and it makes for an extra special meal. You can reserve as many times as you’d like, depending on the restaurant availability. Isn’t it gorgeous in all of its holiday decor?
