“The people were definitely my favorite thing about Bike Time🚲.
Erasmus+ programs always introduce you to new faces from all sorts of backgrounds, and it's amazing to hear their stories and share your own experiences - especially when it comes to bikes🚴♀️🚴♂️! The group on this project was especially cool, and I made some friends who I'm sure I'll be hanging out with for a long time.
I was so hyped to be part of this project about cycling - it's a passion of mine, after all. We got to take part in workshops about everything from bike safety to how cycling can help the economy and your health, and I even learned a few things I didn't know before, even though I'm already working with bikes! It was also really cool to see how bikes have made Denmark such a great place to live, and to share that with everyone.
I left Bike Time with a ton of memories - the trips we took, the mountain biking adventure, the incredible food🥙🌮🍔☕️, and the warmth of the Turkish people. It was all amazing! But what really stuck with me was how lucky I am to live in a country with such great bike infrastructure, and infrastructure in general. I hope we can all work together to make the rest of the world as bike-friendly as possible.”
