Pride parades in Belgrade are a bit different... couldn't even get close to the parade itself. The police blocked off the entire center of town. No one gets in.

This is for the safety of the parade participants, as there have been violent attacks in the past. The atmosphere is unlike any Pride experience I've ever had.

Been watching these Periscopes for up-to-the-minute info on what's happening in the Balkans, where we are now.

Refugees are moving west from Belgrade into Croatia to get around the closed border with Hungary. Of course Slovenia has now also closed its border, and there's rumors that Croatia will close its border with Serbia after 9,000 people crossed it yesterday.

The good news is in every video you can see volunteers from the Red Cross, Save the Children & Doctors Without Borders making sure people are taken care of. It's going to get close to 100 degrees today, but will drop into the 50s by Monday night. I highly encourage anyone who can to donate to one of these organizations to make sure these people are able to care for themselves and their children.

A group of women, almost all of them black, were ejected from a Napa Valley Wine Train tour over complaints that they were making too much noise.

This is obviously super dumb and their rankings are totally random, but I admit to giggling a lot.

A quick snapshot of Copenhagen Pride!

I've now been to Pride parades in 4 countries, and hope to experience many more in the future. Each city celebrates in its own way. The most unique was definitely Amsterdam - whose parade happens on the canals through a series of pink-covered boats :)

Well hello there, Copenhagen!

This is the "classic" shot of CPH that I always saw on blogs and postcards, but most of the city doesn't actually look like this! Which is good because this bit was absolutely crawling with tourists. This is beautiful, but I'm really enjoying exploring the much-less-crowded parks and gardens in the summer sun :)
