סיור ציבורי שהפך להרפתקה פרטית בקופנהגן. 🇩🇰✨

אתמול הדרכתי את ה זוג המקסים הזה מישראל שהגיע לקופנהגן, ובמקרה יצא שהם היו המשתתפים היחידים בסיור הציבורי — כך שנוצר לנו סיור פרטי קטן משלנו. 😊

כבר בתחילת הדרך גילינו גם חיבור קטן ומשעשע: הם גרים ברחוב בלפור בתל אביב — אותו רחוב שבו נמצא בית הספר היסודי שבו למדתי.

ומשם המשכנו לגלות את קופנהגן דרך הסיפורים שלי, הטעמים והפינות שאני אוהבת במיוחד — מהשבלול הדני המתוק 🐌 ועד קציצת דגים דנית שהוזמנתי לחלוק איתם. 🐟

היה כיף, היו הרבה חיוכים ושיחות טובות, ובעיקר — מפגש אנושי מקסים, בדיוק הסיבה שאני כל כך אוהבת את מה שאני עושה. 💙🇩🇰

A public tour that turned into a private Copenhagen adventure. 🇩🇰✨

Yesterday, I guided this ovely couple from Israel who were visiting Copenhagen. As it happened, they were the only guests who joined the public tour — so it became a little private tour of its own. 😊

We also discovered a funny little connection right at the beginning: they live on Balfour Street in Tel Aviv — the very same street where my elementary school was!

And from there, we continued discovering Copenhagen through my stories, the flavors, and the little corners I especially love — from a sweet Danish snail 🐌 to a Danish fish cake that they invited me to share with them. 🐟

There were lots of smiles, good conversations, and above all, a lovely human connection — exactly why I love what I do. 💙🇩🇰

You’d never guess what this luxury hotel was during WWII… 👀🇩🇰

On Friday, I guided Karen and Steve on a private Jewish tour of Copenhagen. They are American Jews living in Israel and were spending a week in Copenhagen.

Behind us is Hotel d’Angleterre, one of Copenhagen’s most iconic luxury hotels. During the German occupation of Denmark, it served as a N**i headquarters.

And this is exactly what I love about guiding Copenhagen: sometimes, an elegant façade can hide a much darker chapter of the city’s history.

Our Jewish tour also explored the remarkable story of the rescue of Danish Jews during World War II — one of the most extraordinary chapters in Denmark’s history.

בחיים לא הייתם מנחשים מה היה המלון היוקרתי הזה במלחמת העולם השנייה… 👀🇩🇰

ביום שישי הדרכתי את קרן וסטיב בסיור יהודי פרטי בקופנהגן. הם יהודים אמריקאים המתגוררים בישראל והגיעו לשבוע בקופנהגן.

מאחורינו נמצא מלון ד'אנגלטר — אחד המלונות היוקרתיים והאיקוניים ביותר בקופנהגן. בתקופת הכיבוש הגרמני של דנמרק, הוא שימש כמפקדה נאצית.

וזה בדיוק מה שאני אוהבת בהדרכת קופנהגן: לפעמים מאחורי חזית אלגנטית מסתתר פרק הרבה יותר אפל בהיסטוריה של העיר.

בסיור הכרנו גם את הסיפור המדהים של הצלת יהודי דנמרק במהלך מלחמת העולם השנייה — אחד הפרקים יוצאי הדופן ביותר בהיסטוריה של דנמרק.

טיול בר־מצווה, חובב LEGO אחד, וקופנהגן. 🇩🇰🧱💙

ביום חמישי נפגשתי עם צהלה ובעלה, שהגיעו עם הנכד שלהם לדנמרק במסגרת טיול בר־המצווש שלו.

הוא, כמובן, חובב LEGO מושבע, ולכן LEGOLAND Billund הייתה חלק בלתי נפרד מהמסע שלהם — וכמובן שאחרי לגו הגיע הזמן לגלות גם את קופנהגן. 😊

בילינו יחד בסיור היכרות עם העיר, עם סיפורים, מקומות ואווירה קופנהגנית, ובדרך גם זכינו לאחד מהרגעים הקטנים והמיוחדים האלה שקורים לפעמים בסיור — הגענו בדיוק כשהבית הכנסת היה פתוח, והצלחנו להיכנס פנימה לכמה רגעים.

היה לי כיף לחלוק איתם כמה שעות של קופנהגן ולהיות חלק קטן מהטיול המשפחתי המיוחד שלהם.

A Mitzvah trip, a LEGO lover, and Copenhagen. 🇩🇰🧱💙

On Thursday, I met Tzahala and her husband, who came to Denmark with their grandson as part of his Bar Mitzvah trip.

He is, of course, a big LEGO fan, so LEGOLAND Billund was an essential part of their journey — and after LEGO, it was time to discover Copenhagen. 😊

We spent a few hours exploring the city, its stories, places and Copenhagen atmosphere. Along the way, we also had one of those little unexpected moments that sometimes happen on a tour — we arrived just as the synagogue was open and were able to step inside for a few special moments.

It was a pleasure to share Copenhagen with them and to be a small part of their special family trip.

They already knew Copenhagen. They came back for its Jewish story. ✡️🇩🇰

On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of guiding Ariel and Judith on a private Jewish tour of Copenhagen.

They had visited Copenhagen before, but this time they came with a very specific interest: they wanted to explore the Jewish side of the city and learn more about its history and heritage.

They had just arrived from Austria and had only about three hours in Copenhagen before they needed to return to their Nordic cruise — and they chose to spend those precious hours exploring the city’s Jewish story.

Ariel has served as President of the Jewish Community in Austria and as President of the European Jewish Congress, while Judith is a mathematics professor. So, needless to say, our conversations were interesting and the questions kept coming! 😊

Along the way, we even stopped for a juice — which Ariel kindly treated me to. 🥤

By the end of our time together, their taxi was waiting to take them back to their cruise, and we said our goodbyes with hugs and kisses.

A short visit, but a meaningful opportunity to share another chapter of Copenhagen’s Jewish story. 💛🇩🇰
הם כבר הכירו את קופנהגן. הפעם הם חזרו כדי לגלות את הסיפור היהודי שלה. ✡️🇩🇰

ביום רביעי היה לי העונג להדריך את אריאל וג'ודית בסיור יהודי פרטי בקופנהגן.

הם כבר ביקרו בעבר בקופנהגן, אבל הפעם הגיעו עם עניין מאוד מסוים: הם רצו להכיר את הצד היהודי של העיר וללמוד יותר על ההיסטוריה והמורשת שלה.

הם בדיוק הגיעו מאוסטריה והיו להם רק כשלוש שעות בקופנהגן לפני שהיו צריכים לחזור לקרוז הנורדי שלהם — והם בחרו להקדיש את הזמן הקצר הזה להיכרות עם הסיפור היהודי של העיר.

אריאל כיהן כנשיא הקהילה היהודית באוסטריה וגם כנשיא הקונגרס היהודי האירופי, וג'ודית היא פרופסור למתמטיקה. אז לא מפתיע שהשיחות שלנו היו מעניינות, והשאלות לא הפסיקו להגיע. 😊

בדרך אפילו עצרנו למיץ — שאריאל באדיבותו הזמין אותי אליו. 🥤

בסוף הזמן שלנו יחד כבר חיכתה להם מונית שתיקח אותם בחזרה לקרוז, ונפרדנו בחיבוקים ונשיקות.

Second tour. Two couples. So many perspectives. 🇩🇰✨

Right after my tour with this lovely Israeli family, I headed off for another private tour — Discover the Art & Culture of Copenhagen — this time with two American couples.

One couple are Presbyterian ministers, and the other are their Jewish neighbors. And somehow, our conversation naturally brought together so many different sides of Copenhagen — art, culture, history, philosophy and Jewish life.

We talked about the remarkable rescue of Danish Jews during World War II, discovered stories connected to Søren Kierkegaard, and explored some of the places that make Copenhagen so fascinating.

I love these kinds of tours, where you never quite know where the conversation will take you. Every group brings its own questions, interests and perspective — and that makes every tour unique.

It was such a pleasure spending the afternoon with this wonderful group and sharing Copenhagen with them. 💛🇩🇰

מיד אחרי הסיור עם המשפחה הישראלית המקסימה הזאת, מיהרתי לסיור פרטי נוסף — Discover the Art & Culture of Copenhagen — הפעם עם שני זוגות מארצות הברית.

זוג אחד היו כמרים פרסביטריאנים, והזוג השני היו השכנים היהודים שלהם. ומשם התפתחה שיחה שחיברה באופן טבעי כל כך הרבה צדדים של קופנהגן — אמנות, תרבות, היסטוריה, פילוסופיה והחיים היהודיים בעיר.

דיברנו על מבצע ההצלה המדהים של יהודי דנמרק בזמן מלחמת העולם השנייה, גילינו סיפורים הקשורים לסרן קירקגור, וחקרנו כמה מהמקומות שהופכים את קופנהגן לעיר כל כך מרתקת.

אני אוהבת סיורים כאלה, שבהם אף פעם אי אפשר לדעת לאן השיחה תיקח אותנו. כל קבוצה מביאה איתה שאלות, תחומי עניין ונקודת מבט משלה — וזה מה שהופך כל סיור לייחודי.

היה לי ממש כיף לבלות את אחר הצהריים עם הקבוצה המקסימה הזאת ולחלוק איתם את קופנהגן. 💛🇩🇰

הייתי קצת שקטה כאן לאחרונה — אבל בהחלט לא שקטה בכל מה שקשור להדרכות! 😉
אז בואו נשלים קצת פערים מהשבוע שעבר…

One day. Two private tours. Three generations. So many stories. 🇩🇰✨

ביום ראשון התחלתי את היום עם משפחה ישראלית מקסימה, שעצרה בקופנהגן במסגרת הקרוז והמסע הנורדי שלה.

שלושה דורות יחד — סבא וסבתא, שני הבנים שלהם ושני הנכדים בני השמונה — כולם מגלים את קופנהגן ביחד.

בילינו חמש שעות בסיור היכרות עם העיר, עם שילוב של האתרים, הסיפורים והאווירה של קופנהגן, וגם כמה מפינות החמד שאני אוהבת להראות בדרך.

כשאני מדריכה משפחות, אני אוהבת לשלב בין סיפורים, היסטוריה, תרבות וכמובן גם קצת משחקים וטריוויה לילדים. כל קבוצה היא אחרת, ולכן כל סיור מקבל את הקצב והאופי שלו. 🎲✨

עלינו גם למגדל העגול, משם אפשר לראות את קופנהגן מלמעלה ולחבר בין המקומות והסיפורים שגילינו במהלך היום.

ומה שאני הכי אוהבת בהדרכה? שכל אדם מביא איתו עולם שלם — סיפורים, חוויות, משפחה וזיכרונות. ולכמה שעות, אני זוכה להיות חלק קטן מהעולם הזה. 💛🇩🇰🇮🇱

היה לי כבוד גדול להוביל את המשפחה המקסימה הזאת בקופנהגן.
I’ve been a little quiet here lately — but definitely not quiet when it comes to guiding! 😉
So let’s catch up on last week…

On Sunday, I started my day with a lovely Israeli family who stopped in Copenhagen as part of their Nordic cruise.

Three generations together — grandparents, their two sons, and two eight-year-old grandchildren — all discovering Copenhagen together.

We spent five hours exploring the city, combining Copenhagen’s sights, stories and atmosphere with a few of my favorite little hidden gems along the way.

When I guide families, I love to combine stories, history, culture, and of course, a little bit of games and trivia for the kids. Every group is different, so every tour naturally takes on its own pace and character. 🎲✨

We also went up the Round Tower, where we could look out over Copenhagen from above and connect the places and stories we had discovered throughout the day.

What I love most about guiding is that every person brings a whole world with them — stories, experiences, family and memories. And for a few hours, I get to be a small part of that world. 💛🇩🇰

It was a real privilege to guide this lovely family 🇮🇱🇩🇰

Yesterday I spent a few hours in Copenhagen with Joel and his daughter, Tamara, who are visiting Denmark as part of their Nordic journey.
Joel was genuinely curious about Copenhagen’s Jewish history and asked many questions along the way. We explored some of the places connected to Jewish life in the city and, of course, I shared the remarkable story of the rescue of Danish Jews during World War II.
We also took some time to experience Copenhagen beyond its Jewish history, because I always like to give my guests a little taste of the city itself along the way.

אתמול ביליתי כמה שעות בקופנהגן עם ג'ואל ובתו תמרה, שהגיעו לדנמרק במסגרת המסע הנורדי שלהם.
ג'ואל היה באמת סקרן לגבי ההיסטוריה היהודית של קופנהגן ושאל הרבה שאלות לאורך הדרך. ביקרנו בכמה מהמקומות הקשורים לחיים היהודיים בעיר וכמובן, סיפרתי גם על מבצע ההצלה המדהים של יהודי דנמרק בזמן מלחמת העולם השנייה.

ממוזיאון יהדות דנמרק ובית הכנסת ועד לרחובות ולאתרים שאנחנו עוברים בהם בדרך — כל תחנה מוסיפה עוד חלק לסיפור של יהדות קופנהגן.

סיור אורות, חוצה חצות. ✨
לפעמים דווקא כשהתוכניות משתבשות, נולדת חוויה חדשה.
הם היו אמורים להגיע לקופנהגן במסגרת טיול מאורגן של החברה הגיאוגרפית ולהצטרף אליי לסיור יום מלא של שש שעות שתוכנן לבוקר שלמחרת.
אבל תוכניות הן לפעמים רק תוכניות.
בעקבות שינויים בלתי צפויים בטיסות, הם הגיעו מגרינלנד לקופנהגן רק יממה מאוחר יותר — בשמונה וחצי בערב, ולמחרת בבוקר כבר היו צריכים לטוס חזרה לישראל.
אז במקום לוותר על הסיור, שינינו את התוכנית.
וב־22:00 יצאנו יחד לסיור הלילה הראשון שלי. 🌙
התחלנו בערב וסיימנו ב־01:00, ואני גיליתי קופנהגן קצת אחרת.
אותם מקומות שאני מכירה כל כך טוב ביום קיבלו בלילה אופי אחר לגמרי — האורות, השקט, הרחובות, הבניינים והאווירה.
אפילו אני גיליתי את העיר מחדש.
והם? היו פשוט מקסימים. הם זרמו עם השינוי, נהנו מאוד — ואחד מהם אפילו נכנס לעמוד העסקי שלי כבר במהלך הסיור והשאיר לי ביקורת של חמישה כוכבים. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
זה ממש ריגש אותי. איזו מחווה מקסימה — לעצור באמצע החוויה ולכתוב לי כמה נהנו.
מלימון יצאה לימונדה. 🍋
ואולי נולד כאן משהו חדש:

Sometimes the best experiences begin when plans change. ✨
They were supposed to arrive in Copenhagen as part of an organized trip with the Geographical Society and join me for a six-hour day tour planned for the following morning.
But plans are sometimes just plans.
Due to unexpected changes to their flights, they arrived from Greenland in Copenhagen a full day later — at 8:30 PM, and were due to fly back to Israel the following morning.
So instead of giving up on the tour, we changed the plan.
At 10 PM, we set off together on my very first Copenhagen night tour. 🌙
We started in the evening and finished at 1 AM, and I discovered a slightly different Copenhagen myself.
The same places I know so well during the day had a completely different atmosphere at night — the lights, the quiet streets, the architecture and the city after dark.
Even I discovered Copenhagen from a new perspective.
And they? They were simply wonderful. They embraced the change, enjoyed the evening — and one of them even went to my business page during the tour and left me a five-star review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It genuinely touched me. What a lovely gesture — taking a moment in the middle of the experience to share how much they were enjoying it.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. 🍋
And perhaps something new was born:
A Night of Lights — and We Crossed Midnight. ✨
