He came for a Copenhagen tour… but the dogs kept stealing his attention. 🐶🇮🇳🇮🇪🇩🇰

On Sunday, I met Sha, a lovely guy from India who lives in Ireland, for a Copenhagen introduction tour.

And very quickly, I discovered that Sha has a big soft spot for animals. We could be in the middle of a story about Copenhagen, and suddenly he would spot a dog and say, “Oh, can we go and see if I can pet him?” 😄

He would stop, ask the owner if he could pet the dog, and of course I had to capture some of those moments.

He also loves trying local food, so we had a proper Copenhagen hot dog together. 🌭

And then came a lovely surprise at the end of the tour. Sha had told me beforehand that he wanted to bring me a few souvenirs from Ireland — and he actually did! A KitKat and some Indian chai tea. ☕🍫

I’m so used to being the one giving my clients little treats and a copy of The Way to Happiness at the end of a tour, so it was really lovely to be on the receiving end for a change. 💙

Sha also has a little tradition of taking a photo with his tour guide at the end of a tour — so naturally, we had to take ours too. 😊

הוא הגיע לסיור בקופנהגן… אבל הכלבים כל הזמן גנבו לו את תשומת הלב. 🐶🇮🇳🇮🇪🇩🇰

ביום ראשון פגשתי את שאה בחור מקסים מהודו שגר באירלנד, לסיור היכרות בקופנהגן.

ומהר מאוד גיליתי שלשאה יש חולשה גדולה לבעלי חיים. יכולנו להיות באמצע סיפור על קופנהגן, ופתאום הוא היה מבחין בכלב ואומר: “אוי, אפשר ללכת לראות אם אני יכול ללטף את הכלב?” 😄

הוא היה עוצר, מבקש רשות מהבעלים ללטף אותו, וכמובן שאני הייתי חייבת לתפוס כמה מהרגעים האלה במצלמה.

הוא גם אוהב לטעום אוכל מקומי, אז אכלנו יחד נקניקייה קופנהגנית אמיתית. 🌭

ואז הגיעה הפתעה מקסימה בסוף הסיור. שא אמר לי מראש שהוא רוצה להביא לי כמה מזכרות מאירלנד — והוא באמת הביא! קיט־קט ותה צ'אי הודי. ☕🍫

אני כל כך רגילה להיות זו שנותנת ללקוחות שלי עוגיות קטנות ועוגות ועותק של The Way to Happiness בסוף הסיור, שהיה ממש נחמד הפעם להיות בצד שמקבל. 💙

לשא יש גם מסורת קטנה — הוא תמיד אוהב להצטלם עם המדריך שלו בסוף הסיור, אז כמובן שגם אנחנו הצטלמנו יחד. 😊

Remember the China Festival that was being set up in City Hall Square during my tour with Lily from Hong Kong?

Well, the next day, September 27, the festival was in full swing — and I happened to be there before meeting my next client.

A little Copenhagen coincidence that turned into a perfect follow-up to the day before. 😊

And yes… there were Chinese dancers too! 💃🇨🇳

A tourist from Hong Kong, a Copenhagen tour — and a China Festival stage being set up right behi
nd us!
On Saturday, September 26, I met the lovely Lily from Hong Kong for a Copenhagen introduction tour.
Lily had accepted my offer several months earlier for her September visit, and somehow our tour happened to fall on the day the China Festival was being set up in City Hall Square — one day before the festival itself. And she had no idea about it! 😄
So of course, we had to take a photo together, with the stage and the Chinese sign right behind us. 🇨🇳
From there, we explored Copenhagen through some of the things I love bringing into my tours — stories behind statues and buildings, a little history, local food, small corners of the city and a visit to the flea market.
And then came Lily’s lovely, which made me smile:

“Dalit is passionate and full of energy. She is very thoughtful and knowledgeable…”

תיירת מהונג קונג, סיור בקופנהגן — ובדיוק מאחורינו מקימים את הבמה לפסטיבל סין!

בשבת, 26 בספטמבר, פגשתי את לילי המקסימה מהונג קונג לסיור היכרות בקופנהגן.

לילי קיבלה את ההצעה שלי כבר כמה חודשים קודם לכן, לקראת הביקור שלה בספטמבר, ובמקרה הסיור שלנו נפל בדיוק על היום שבו התחילו להקים בכיכר העירייה את פסטיבל סין — יום אחד לפני שהפסטיבל עצמו התקיים. ולילי בכלל לא ידעה על זה! 😄

אז כמובן שהיינו חייבות להצטלם יחד, עם הבמה והשלט בסינית ממש
מאחורינו. 🇨🇳

משם המשכנו להכיר את קופנהגן דרך כמה מהדברים שאני אוהבת לשלב בסיורים שלי — הסיפורים שמאחורי הפסלים והמבנים, קצת היסטוריה, אוכל מקומי, פינות קטנות בעיר וביקור בשוק הפשפשים.

ואז הגיעה גם חוות הדעת המקסימה שלה שממש שימחה אותי.

מועדים לשמחה וסוכות שמח 🌹

סיור יהודי, ערב סוכות, וחברים חדשים. 💙🤍🇮🇱🇩🇰

ביום שישי נפגשתי עם ריקי ואריה המקסימים לסיור יהודי פרטי בקופנהגן.

ריקי מדריכה ביד ושם, מרצה ומובילה מסעות לקבוצות של מבוגרים, צה״ל וכוחות הביטחון, ואריה הוא פנסיונר של צה״ל. שניהם אוהבים היסטוריה, מוזיאונים וסיפורים, וריקי במיוחד רצתה להכיר את ההיסטוריה היהודית של דנמרק.

במהלך הסיור עברנו בבית הכנסת, בכיכר ישראל, באוניברסיטה, בפרלמנט ועוד — ושזרתי לאורך הדרך את החיבורים הקטנים בין ההיסטוריה היהודית, העיר והחיים כאן. סיימנו במוזיאון היהודי הדני.

וכמו שקורה לי הרבה בסיורים — גם אני לומדת מהאנשים שאני פוגשת. היו לנו שיחות על היסטוריה, על ישראל, על דנמרק ועל החיים, ופשוט היה לנו ממש נעים ביחד.

אחרי שסיימנו את הסיור, ריקי שלחה לי הודעה שפשוט חיממה לי את הלב:
"את נפלאהההה, תודה על חוויה נעימה ומלמדת בנועם ובאהבה♥️
עם ישראל חי!!!
מאחלת לך חיים טובים ושקטים בדרך אל האושר😘"

מי שמכיר אותי יודע שבסוף הסיורים שלי אני אוהבת לתת ללקוחות את החוברת הדרך אל האושר, ולכן המילים האלה ריגשו אותי במיוחד. ❤️

בערב הם המשיכו לחגוג את סוכות בבית חב״ד, ומאוחר יותר גם אני הגעתי לשם. ישבנו יחד, דיברנו וצחקנו — וזה כבר הרגיש קצת פחות כמו לקוחות והרבה יותר כמו חברים חדשים.

וכשהם כבר היו בשדה התעופה בדרך חזרה לארץ, ריקי כתבה לי בקבוצה:

A Jewish tour, a Sukkot evening, and new friends. 🤍💙🇩🇰🇮🇱

On Friday, I met the wonderful Riki and Aryeh for a private Jewish tour of Copenhagen.

Riki is a guide at Yad Vashem, a lecturer, and leads journeys for groups of adults, the IDF and security forces. Aryeh is a retired IDF officer. They both love history, museums and stories, and Riki was especially interested in discovering the Jewish history of Denmark.

During the tour, we visited the synagogue, Israel Square, the university, Parliament and more — weaving in the small connections between Jewish history, the city and everyday life in Denmark. We finished at the Danish Jewish Museum.

And as often happens on my tours, I learned from the people I met too. We talked about history, Israel, Denmark and life — and simply had a really lovely time together.

After the tour, Riki sent me a message that truly warmed my heart:

“Thank you for a pleasant and educational experience, with gentleness and love. Am Yisrael Chai. I wish you a good and peaceful life on your way to happiness.”

Those who know me know that I like to give my clients a copy of The Way to Happiness at the end of my tours, so her words meant even more to me. ❤️

That evening, they continued celebrating Sukkot at Chabad, and later I joined them there. We sat together, talked and laughed — and by then, it felt a little less like clients and much more like new friends.

Yesterday, as they were already at the airport on their way back to Israel, Riki wrote in our group:

“Dear Dalit, Moadim Lesimcha. We are at the airport on our way home. We really enjoyed our time with you. You showed us Copenhagen through your kind and wise eyes. Thank you so much! When we get home, I’ll write a review on your website. And when you come to Israel, you are warmly invited.”

Riki and Aryeh, thank you for such a wonderful day, for the conversations, the laughter and the connection we found along the way.

One woman. Four hours. Copenhagen, her way. 🇩🇰✨

On Saturday, I spent four hours exploring Copenhagen with a wonderful woman from the US.

She wasn’t looking for the usual sightseeing tour. She had a few places she wanted to visit, so we simply followed her interests and made our way around the city.

One of our detours took us to Studio Arhoj on Skindergade, a wonderful little place for clay and glass. We even got to watch them blowing glass while we were there. 🔥

Then we headed to the HAY Outlet, where we had lots of fun looking through the boxes and finding our own little local treasures. 😄

And of course, we took a little break along the way — a warm pastry, a hot drink and some time together on the rooftop of Illum. ☕🥐

No strict checklist. Just curiosity, good conversation, and following the day wherever it took us.

Sometimes, the unexpected detours make the best memories. 💙🇩🇰
אישה אחת. ארבע שעות. קופנהגן, בדרך שלה. 🇩🇰✨

בשבת ביליתי ארבע שעות בקופנהגן עם אישה מקסימה מארצות הברית.

היא לא חיפשה את סיור האתרים הקלאסי. היו כמה מקומות שהיא רצתה להגיע אליהם, אז פשוט זרמנו עם תחומי העניין שלה וגילינו את העיר בדרך.

אחת העצירות שלנו הייתה ב־Studio Arhoj בסקינדרגאדה, מקום מקסים לקרמיקה וזכוכית. ואפילו יצא לנו לראות שם איך מנפחים זכוכית. 🔥

משם המשכנו ל־HAY Outlet, ושם הסתובבנו בין הקופסאות, חיפשנו ומצאנו כל מיני אוצרות מקומיים קטנים. 😄

וכמובן, עצרנו גם להפסקה קטנה על הגג של Illum — מאפה חם, משקה חם וקצת זמן לשבת וליהנות מהעיר. ☕🥐

בלי רשימת חובה. פשוט סקרנות, שיחות טובות, וזרימה עם היום.

לפעמים דווקא הסטיות הקטנות מהדרך יוצרות את הזיכרונות הכי יפים. 💙🇩🇰

אמא, בן וקופנהגן דרך הרגליים. 💙🇩🇰

ביום שישי האחרון נפגשתי עם ליאורה ובנה אוהד המקסימים לסיור היכרות פרטי עם קופנהגן.

הם הגיעו אליי דרך הדוד שלה, שאני מכירה כבר שנים ושגם המליץ להם עליי — וכבר מההתחלה היה כיף להכיר אותם.

ליאורה ואוהד הגיעו עם הרבה סקרנות ואהבה לאדריכלות, עיצוב, אמנות מודרנית, אוכל, אופנה והיסטוריה יהודית.

אספתי אותם מבית המלון ומשם יצאנו לגלות את העיר דרך הרחובות, המבנים, החנויות, הסיפורים וכמובן גם כמה עצירות טעימות בדרך. 😊

ואוהד היה גם הצלם הרשמי שלנו, באדיבות אמא שלו, שדאגה להזכיר לו שוב ושוב: "תצלם, תצלם!" 😄📸

באמצע עצרנו גם להפסקת קפה קטנה, ולרגע הרגשתי שאנחנו פשוט מבלים יחד בעיר ולא רק עושים סיור.

בסוף הסיור אוהד כתב לי:
"תודה רבה לך, היה ממש כיף להכיר וללמוד את העיר דרך הרגליים."

ליאורה ואוהד, היה לי כיף גדול להכיר אתכם ולהדריך אתכם בקופנהגן. 💙🇮🇱🇩🇰
A mother, a son, and Copenhagen on foot. 💙🇩🇰

Last Friday I met the lovely Liora and her son Ohad for a private Copenhagen introduction tour.

They came to me through her uncle, whom I’ve known for many years and who recommended me to them — so it was especially nice to meet them.

Liora and Ohad arrived with lots of curiosity and a love for architecture, design, modern art, food, fashion and Jewish history.

I picked them up from the hotel , and from there we set out to discover the city through its streets, buildings, shops, stories — and, of course, a few tasty stops along the way. 😊

Ohad was also our official photographer, thanks to his mother, who kept reminding him: “Take a picture, take a picture!” 😄📸

We also stopped for a little coffee break along the way, and for a moment it felt less like a tour and more like simply spending time together in the city.

At the end of the tour, Ohad wrote to me:

“Thank you so much, it was really fun getting to know you and learning about the city on foot.”

מתל אביב לקופנהגן — ובאיזשהו אופן, חזרה לאותה שכונה. 🇮🇱🇩🇰

פתיחה כיפית לשנה החדשה. 💙🍎🍯

ביום שישי, ערב ראש השנה, נפגשתי עם אריקה וניצן המתוקים לסיור היכרות עם קופנהגן.

כבר כשנפגשנו, אריקה אמרה לי: "אני מרגישה כאילו אנחנו כבר מכירות מזמן." 😊
אולי זה היה בגלל כל ההתכתבויות לפני הסיור, ואולי פשוט כי לפעמים אנשים מתחברים מהר.

ואז גילינו עוד חיבור קטן וכיפי: הם מתל אביב, וגרים בדיוק באזור שבו אני גדלתי וחייתי.
"וואו, זה ממש בשכונה!" 😄

משם יצאנו להכיר את קופנהגן דרך הדברים שהם אוהבים — עיצוב, אמנות, אוכל, היסטוריה וחיי היומיום בעיר.

ואתמול חיכתה לי הפתעה נעימה ומרגשת — לקבל מהם את הריוויו הזה עם חמשת הכוכבים והמילים היפות שכתבו על החוויה שלהם. ❤️

במיוחד ריגש אותי לקרוא שהם הרגישו את הסיפורים ואת האופן שבו אני אוהבת להעביר אותם.

From Tel Aviv to Copenhagen — and somehow, back to the same neighborhood. 🇮🇱🇩🇰

A lovely start to the new year. 💙🍎🍯

On Friday, Rosh Hashanah Eve, I met the sweet Erika and Nitzan for a Copenhagen introduction tour.

When we first met, Erika said, “I feel like we’ve known each other for a long time already.” 😊
Maybe it was all the messages we exchanged before the tour, or maybe sometimes you simply connect quickly.

And then we discovered another little connection: they’re from Tel Aviv and live in the very same area where I grew up and lived.
“Wow, it’s really our neighborhood!” 😄

From there, we set out to discover Copenhagen through the things they enjoy — design, art, food, history and everyday life in the city.

And yesterday, I received a lovely and touching surprise — their five-star review and the beautiful words they shared about their experience. ❤️

It especially touched me to read that they connected with the stories and the way I love to bring Copenhagen to life.
