Im not a creature of habit. I love to find new adventures in everything I do. Yesterday we explored a new trail near Genoa. It didn’t disappoint but it’s not for those who don’t like exposure, narrow trail with switchbacks and steep climbs. The views across the Carson Valley to the Pine Nut Mountains were the reward for our adventurous spirits on this day.

My mm grew up hiking at “The Rocks” as this are was called by the locals. Then she introduced my brother and I to the trails with my grandpa. Then I did the first Beacon Bill Bomber mt. bike race here during my mt. bike racing phase. We went mt. biking there 2 days ago. It is a great trail network along with hiking and rock climbing.

Winter returns to Lake Tahoe but that didn’t deter the dogs and their humans from getting outside. I love story weather along the lake.

Clear Creek Trail outside Carson City Nevada. It’s crazy to be able to ride so high this early. Ski season is over and mt@biking season has arrived…until next week?

Spring along the South Fork of the American River trail. There are more Indian Paintbrush blooming than I’ve seen before. The river is running high through Satan’s Cesspool. We@rode from Skunk Hollow to West Ridge at Cronin and back with a quick side trip to Satan’s. ,

Spring in the Sierra Foothills is early. The Indian Paint Brush are blooming, the trails are perfect, and the warm sunshine is breathing life into every bud and blade of grass along Lake Folsom.
