We live in a world that moves faster and faster… Work, showtime, sleep, repeat.
Don’t forget to stop to smell the flowers 🌺
Don’t forget your deep connection to the environment,
Because we don’t experience nature,
We ARE nature, experiencing itself ❤️🍃

There are places where food is not just something you try, but something you begin to understand.

In the Amazon, meals are shaped by the forest, by the river, and by the people who have lived with both for generations. Ingredients are gathered, not sourced. Recipes are remembered, not written. Cooking takes time, and so does sharing it.

Some flavors might feel unfamiliar at first. But that is part of the experience. To travel here is to step into a different rhythm, one where food connects you to place, to culture, and to others around the table.

Save this for when you are ready to experience Ecuador beyond what you expect.

Meet Carmela 🌊
Our heart in San Cristóbal.
She left Guayaquil 30 years ago and never looked back (and honestly, neither will you once you meet her.)
For 8 years, Carmela has been the person making sure every single detail of your San Cristóbal experience is just right. The transfers, the guides, the little things you didn’t even know you needed, she’s already on it.
Warm, sharp, and impossibly dedicated. She doesn’t just coordinate trips. She makes sure you leave the Galápagos with your heart full. Ready to experience San Cristóbal the way it deserves to be experienced?
Send us a message and let’s make it happen!

Carnival in Ecuador is not a party… it’s a full-on colorful attack 💦🎉

Music blasting. Streets dancing. Buckets of water flying. Carnival foam in your hair (and somehow in your shoes). Strangers become teammates in the happiest water fight on Earth.

From the colorful parades to the flower-filled celebrations, this is where tradition meets pure, joyful chaos.

You don’t stay dry.
You don’t stay still.
And you definitely don’t stay a spectator.

Ready to get soaked in Ecuadorian happiness?

We’re not just “the team.”
We’re the WhatsApp at 6am.
The spreadsheet at midnight.
The “don’t worry, I’ve got this.”
The Andes energy. The Amazon calm. The Galápagos magic.

We are Takiri Travel — and yes, we travel better because we travel together. 💛

Ecuador uses the U.S. dollar, not by coincidence, but by history.

In the late 1990s, a deep economic crisis changed the country forever. Savings were lost, families were separated, and many Ecuadorians migrated abroad in search of stability.

In 2000, dollarization was adopted as a difficult but necessary step to stop the collapse and rebuild trust in the economy.

Today, the dollar is part of daily life in Ecuador. Behind it is a story of pain, resilience, and the long work of moving forward.

At Takiri Travel, we believe that understanding a place means understanding what it has lived through, not just what you see when you arrive.
