Tijd voor iets nieuws! Na(ast) Egypte en Sudan, waar ik ooit uit enthousiasme reizen ben gaan organiseren ('dit is zo prachtig, iedereen moet dit zien en meemaken'!) heb ik nu hetzelfde met het Griekse eiland Zakynthos. Prachtige natuur en cultuur, heel afwisselend, vriendelijke bewoners en lekker weer.
Ik ben er het afgelopen jaar een paar keer geweest en heb een aantal mooie contacten gelegd met wie ik nu een wandel- en fietsreis heb samengesteld.
We vertrekken met een try out groepje tegen een mooie prijs op 5 april a.s. voor een week. Er kunnen nog belangstellenden aansluiten. Dus mocht het je aanspreken, laat het gerust weten!
En lukt het nu niet; we plannen er later dit jaar nog meer.

Egyptian mummy of teenage boy went into the afterlife with 49 amulets:

Another spectacular find in Aswan in the West Bank: crocodile mummies, estimated to be about 2,500 years old, discovered in a tomb at Qubbat al-Hawa.

Found beneath an ancient dump, the mummies shed light on ancient Egyptian mummification practices and the many lives of a necropolis.

Researchers believe a 4,000-year-old tomb in an Egyptian necropolis at Aswan was oriented so that a statue within it would have been illuminated at sunrise on the winter solstice.
