💭 remains one of history’s greatest enigmas. When she died in 30 BC, she was more than Egypt’s last queen she was a powerhouse who shaped the destiny of Rome. Yet, more than 2,000 years later, her final resting place remains a mystery.
The ancient historian Plutarch wrote that she wanted to be buried alongside Mark Antony. Their tomb was said to be magnificent, a testament to their love and power but despite centuries of searching, no archaeological evidence has ever confirmed its location.
Some scholars believe it may lie beneath the waters of ancient Alexandria, swallowed by time and sea. Others focus on Taposiris Magna, where archaeologist Kathleen Martinez has uncovered tantalizing clues though nothing definitive has emerged.
Viral legends claiming Cleopatra vowed that no man would ever find her tomb are myths, not historical fact. In truth, her burial site remains lost to history and if it were ever uncovered, it would be one of the most breathtaking archaeological discoveries of our era.
