President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will on Saturday evening inaugurate the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization: ancient Egypt.
The Presidency said the grand opening will witness an unprecedented international attendance, with 79 official delegations, including 39 led by kings, princes, and heads of state and government.
The grand opening reflects the international admiration for Egypt’s vision, one that unites the grandeur of the past, the creativity of the present, and the prosperity of the future, the President said.
It also stands as a testament of Egypt’s unique status as a cultural bridge connecting nations and peoples who share a love of heritage, culture, and peace.
