Good morning, for any of you lovely people worried about your forthcoming holiday nothing has changed in Sharm el sheikh. Unfortunately the incident the other day took place on the Israel border at Taba which is 3 hours away from Sharm. Security here has been stepped up due to this which is fantastic but the 'threat' which has been reported by the UK news is said to be fake, apparently it came from a fake social media account. The embassies haven't contacted us residents, the GOV safety website/map hasn’t been updated to say don’t travel. Don't worry about it and enjoy your holiday, as always Sharm remains unaffected and journalists in the UK need to be more responsible and check their information source before publishing rubbish which affects an already struggling country.
