On Thursday 11/06/2020 🇪🇬Egypt’s cabinet announced the resumption of flights and tourism activities in the governorates with the least virus infection starting July. 🙂

The tourist governorates with the least infections are South Sinai💚, the Red Sea and Marsa Matrouh, and starting July they will receive flights and tourists, the cabinet said in a statement following a meeting of the higher committee for managing the coronavirus crisis, headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

Egypt has suspended international flights since 19 March at all airports nationwide except for the specially organized repatriation flights in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Egypt has so far allowed 155 hotels that secured the new hygiene certificate to reopen at a reduced occupancy so as to revive the tourism sector, which has been hit heavily by pandemic.
The occupancy rate of the reopened hotels was initially set at 25 percent of capacity, but this month was increased to 50 percent.
On Wednesday, the cabinet announced that Egypt will exempt incoming tourists on charter flights from visa fees until the end of October, the end of the summer tourism season.
The civil aviation ministry had earlier decided to grant a 50 percent discount on landing and parking fees for charter planes to the country's resort cities. ✈️🧳🏨🏝️🐪🤿🐠🐟
