La Coruna hidden gem for kids and adults. We stopped her on Arvia and just a short ride away is fabulous sea views and the best aquarium I have been too. It has so much more and great for kids!

If you’re going to Antigua on a cruise a visit to Nelson’s Dockyard named after Lord Nelson is a great excursion or taxi ride. A UNESCO world heritage site this location is steeped in history and well worth a visit. Situated in English Harbour with its own museum and lovely bakery for a quick lunch or drop into one of the hotels for coffee it really is a stunning location. Walk up to the old fort Berkeley for fabulous views across the harbour.

Vision of the Seas earlier this year. We loved this smaller Vision class ship the crew, entertainment and food and a smaller passenger capacity made a change to our usual Royal Caribbean cruises. The kids entertainment and nursery meant we could go off ship and explore places we would not have been able to with a toddler.

Enchanted Princess forward premium suite. We booked this last minute for a week around the med. The suite is huge. Forward cabins can be very windy but this one has a side balcony so you get great views and no wind. They have their own concierge and private club where you can get snacks and drinks throughout the day. Although it doesn’t have its own restaurant it does have an area in the main restaurant for suite guests.
