Could Valencia be the right place to live and work remotely? 🇪🇸☀️
I've spent years living in and around Valencia, including working remotely from the city, and I've seen a lot of changes over that time.
Valencia has a combination that's surprisingly hard to find: a beautiful Mediterranean setting, a real Spanish city rather than a resort town, excellent food, good public transport, beaches within easy reach, and a relatively relaxed lifestyle.
But it's not perfect.
Housing has become much more expensive, summers can be very hot, and finding the right neighbourhood can make a big difference to your experience.
While there's a growing community of remote workers and digital nomads, Valencia still feels much more like a Spanish city than a place built around foreigners working online.
That's actually one of the things I like most about it.
I've just published a detailed guide to Valencia for digital nomads and remote workers, based on my years of experience in Valencia.
I've covered the things I'd want to know before deciding whether Valencia could be a good fit, including the cost of living, neighbourhoods, coworking, lifestyle, pros and cons, and what it's really like to live here rather than simply visit.
