Working remotely and traveling wherever you want sounds exciting. And honestly, sometimes it really is.
But what Instagram often doesn’t show are the logistics behind it: finding reliable wifi, planning around work deadlines, stressful travel days, working from different time zones, and constantly adjusting to new environments.
I’ve been working remotely for years now, from busy cities to quiet, very remote places, and even for a while from a sailboat in the Caribbean. One thing I’ve learned is this:
Freedom and flexibility usually come with trade-offs too.
Still, for me, the ability to build a lifestyle around travel and new experiences has absolutely been worth it.
