Casa Golferrichs known as el xalet is on the crossing of Gran Via and Viladomat streets. Magnificent work of modernism in the architecture completed by architect Joan Rubio i Bellver in 1901. Initially a private house , later was a school and civic center today.

Palau Macaya is one more work of Josep Puig i Cadafalch. A perfect example of Modeenism overlapping with casa Amatller. Similar details, tribune on façade and decoration. Stained glasses were made by Eusebi Arnau and Alfons Juyol, who were collaborating with the architect in many other works.
There is a small decoration over the portal showing the cyclist. It actually refers to Josep Puig i Cadafalch, as he was working on Casa Amatller simultaneously and moving between objects by bicycle.

It is a cultural center today and belongs to Foundation La Caixa. There are scheduled guided visits. Check their website for booking.

Somehow not noticeable house in a very central location, Diagonal meeting Passeig de Gracia. Palau de Baro de Quadras. The house constructed in 1882 and remodeled by Josep Puig and Cadafalch in 1902-1906. Visit of the floor that was an apartment of family Quadras is also possible. English guided visit is scheduled on Fridays at 4p.m.
