2026 dates are available at the award winning and lovely Little Gem apartment on Los Molinos, Costa Teguise. There is one bedroom with a king-size bed. The apartment sleeps up to two adults. Thank you to all Little Gem guests who have been in touch to express their concern for Costa Teguise following the flooding yesterday.
I am relieved to tell you that Little Gem and Los Molinos were fortunately not badly damaged. The emergency services have been working throughout to clear and reopen roads and pump water out of homes and businesses. Sadly some places have suffered very badly which is heartbreaking, but Costa Teguise is 'mostly ok' today and will soon be back to it's usual wonderful self. 🌞

The Little Gem 'small print' .....
Little Gem (La Joyita) is a lovely one bedroom apartment available for holiday rental.
The apartment is located on the top (2nd) floor of Los Molinos in Costa Teguise and has wonderful pool, garden and sea views. While enjoying privacy and tranquility there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The beautiful Bastian beach is a very short stroll away as is the seafront path to central Costa Teguise and several more white sandy beaches.

Little Gem is accessed via a ramp and a private flight of stairs to the front door. On entering you will find the apartment is light and spacious, well maintained, clean and fully equipped.

In the bedroom there is a very comfortable king-size bed with quality linen, ample wardrobe and drawer space, a safe and views over the palm trees to the volcanoes and spectacular sunsets.

Even though you'll be spoilt for choice of places to eat out the kitchen is fully fitted with a full size oven, hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, all crockery, etc.

The bathroom has a very large walk-in shower and a washing machine. Bathroom towels and beach towels are provided.

In the living room there is a large comfortable sofa, 43" flat screen TV with plenty of channels in every language, movies and box sets for relaxing evenings in. The apartment has high speed fibre-optic internet at no extra charge.

Patio doors lead to the spacious and very private terrace with table and chairs for outdoors dining. The terrace has fabulous view of the gardens, magnificent swimming pool (one of two pools available for you to use) and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. You can watch the cruise ships pass while enjoying a glass of wine!

There's so much more, so do come and enjoy everything that Little Gem, Costa Teguise and Lanzarote have to offer.

Little Gem (apartment La Joyita) is fully VV licensed and legal.
Maximum 2 adult guests
Children not accepted.
No pets.
No smoking inside.
Any damages, breakages, extra cleaning will be deducted from the £100 per week refundable security deposit which is payable with your balance payment and will be refunded within 3 days of leaving when there are no damages etc.
£100 per week booking deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance plus security deposit is payable 4 weeks before your arrival.
You will receive a Holiday Rental Agreement and a copy of the House Rules, location map. To comply with Spanish law all guests staying at Little Gem are required to provide registration information. This includes passport or ID details, address, phone number or email.

Booking directly with me, the owner, means you won't be charged a booking fee, cleaning fee or any commission.

The apartment is also listed on Airbnb and booking . com, etc, these sites add extra charges when booking through them.

Little Gem would like to inform you that you can check any VV licence property by looking it up on this site:
https://datos.canarias.es/catalogos/general/dataset/establecimientos-extrahoteleros-de-tipologia-vivienda-vacacional-inscritos-en-el-registro
You can use the filter to look up a property by property name, address, postcode, id number, etc etc. You can see the property data and you can see it's location on the map. What you cannot see is who owns the property, so be aware of that.
It seems that hardly anyone knows about this site but it is public information and it makes sense that at least VV licence numbers can be checked.

Little Gem would like to share this important information about booking a holiday rental in the Canary Islands:
When you're looking for an apartment/villa for your holiday it's really important to be aware of what to check for so that you know your accommodation is legal, meets the required standards and to minimise the chances of being the victim of a scam.

There are 3 things that all holiday rental properties must comply with.
1) A VV license. The property must have a VV license number and a plaque displayed outside. (See photo of Little Gem's plaque).
2) Guest registration. Since December 2024 all guests, regardless of nationality, must be registered with SES Hospedajes. Little Gem uses the SESadmin service for this and the secure online form you must complete is shown in the photos.
3) A Rental Registration Number. This has just been introduced and is going to be obligatory from July 2025* for any online advertising on Airbnb, Booking .com, etc.

If a holiday rental doesn't comply with these 3 things* it's not legal. It's as simple as that.
Now that you have this knowledge you are in an informed position to choose the right holiday accommodation for you which is legal, licensed and legit, so you can have peace of mind and enjoy your holiday 🌞

The price of everything else seems to go up and up, but Little Gem is the exception !
It's a lovely one bedroom apartment on Los Molinos, Costa Teguise. Beautifully furnished and immaculately maintained with a private terrace enjoying fabulous views, fully equipped kitchen, walk-in shower, washing machine, king-size bed, valuables safe, WiFi, 2 swimming pools with sunbeds and parasols. There's plenty of bars and some of the best restaurants just moments away and a very pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Costa Teguise.
