So what have I been up to during my summer closure? Busy as always. 2 Himalayans have been serviced, the Vote 300 rally serviced and fitted with a screen for carplay and a new bike arriving this week. Watch this space.

A bit cooler today so I took the opportunity for a quick ride, bumped into Graham Moores for. a coffee, then took a safe Camino home. Lovely 😁

Well this week didn't go to plan. The Voge 300 rally and one of the himi 411s were booked in for their 10000km services but the supplier sent the wrong oil. Rebooked for next Monday.

It's been a long hot summer so far and I'm itching to get back on the trails and into the mountains. Anyone who fancies coming over for autumn riding, drop my a line on WhatsApp or messenger.

The Beta Alp has gone back to the shop again to see if they can finally sort the problems with the TFT screen. So far it's been refreshed twice and had a new screen. Let's see how they get on this time. It's a shame because if you forget the screen problems it's a hell of a bike. A true unicorn bike.

The Himalayan which was having fuelling problems in heat has been off to Motos Juan Cortes for a look over and has been cured. He reset the valves and unplugged all the connectors, reconnected everything and hey presto I rode it home 55km through the current 'heatdome' and had absolutely no problems. Hurrah!
Also ordered a new bike which will join the fleet in September. I'll reveal more nearer the time

The view from my neighbours house when all of a sudden there was a mad wind. 10 minutes before it had been really hot and still, and 10 minutes afterwards it was hot and still again. The weather's gone mental!

36c today so naturally I thought it was the perfect day to ride in badlands. The trails have turned to dusty sand which makes things interesting. ABIT slippy. 🥵 Thank goodness for the surefootedness of the himi 411
