Plaza de Toros Ronda — one of Spain's most historic bullrings

The Plaza de Toros is one of Ronda's defining landmarks and an important part of the city's history and traditions.

Built in the 18th century, this remarkable stone bullring is home to the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda and has a fascinating connection with Pedro Romero and the Feria Goyesca.

The Plaza de Toros (bullring) in Ronda whilst not the oldest in Spain is definitely the oldest bullring constructed entirely of stone.

Grazalema is more than a pretty white village.

Set high in the Sierra de Cádiz, Grazalema sits right in the middle of one of Andalucía's most spectacular mountain landscapes.

The village itself is worth exploring, but the real attraction is how easily you can step beyond it.

Take the mountain roads over Puerto del Boyar and Puerto de las Palomas, discover the rare Pinsapar forests, explore the surrounding walking routes or make the drive to Zahara de la Sierra.

And don't leave without trying some of the excellent local Payoyo cheese.

Driving to Ronda? Read this before you follow your GPS.

Vehicle access around Puente Nuevo and parts of Ronda's historic centre is restricted, with automatic cameras enforcing the rules.

For most visitors arriving by car, the safest option is simple: use the ring road, park outside the restricted area and walk into the centre.
