RelaxHosting Maspalomas Apartments like to share this important information about booking a holiday rental in the Canary Islands 🇮🇨
⚠️When you are looking for an apartment/villa for your holiday it's really important to be aware of what to check for so that you know your accommodation is legal, meets the required standards to avoid being the victim of a scam.
There are 3 things that all holiday rental property must comply with.
➡️1.) A VV Licence
The property must have a VV licence number and a plaque displayed outside.
➡️2.) Guest registration
Since December 2024 all guests, regardless of nationality, must be registered with SES Hospedajes. This is a formular of travelers to fill it up to identify the guest.
➡️3.) A Rental Registration Number
This has just been introduced and is going to be obligatory from July 2025 for any online advertising on AirBnB, Booking. com etc..
⛔️If a holiday rental doesn't comply with these 3 things, it's not legal. It's as simple as that.
