Snow melting in the Sierra Nevada causes water to flow over the Rules dam. First time since 2010. Impressive sight.

El deshielo en Sierra Nevada provoca que el agua desborde la presa Rules. Es la primera vez que ocurre desde 2010. Un espectáculo impresionante.

At 13.30 today the temperature was 26 degrees in the shade here in the Alpujarras of Granada. That's very acceptable since we are supposed to be enduring a heatwave.

Hoy a las 13:30 la temperatura era de 26 grados a la sombra aquí en las Alpujarras de Granada. Es una temperatura muy aceptable teniendo en cuenta que se supone que estamos sufriendo una ola de calor.

Our morning walk with the dogs takes us along this footpath. Such a delight to enjoy how the seasons change. This morning, fresh dappled light through the young leaves of the chestnut trees.

Nuestro paseo matutino con los perros nos lleva por este sendero. Es un verdadero placer contemplar el cambio de las estaciones. Esta mañana, una luz fresca y tamizada se filtraba entre las hojas jóvenes de los castaños.

Our dry gravel garden is looking great at the moment and it's quite low maintenance, just a tidy up once a year and it pretty much looks after itself. No watering required.

Nuestro jardín de grava seca luce estupendo en este momento y requiere muy poco mantenimiento; solo hay que limpiarlo una vez al año y prácticamente se cuida solo. No necesita riego.
