🔥🔥🔥 Current information about fires on Camino:

⚠️ French Camino - stage Astorga to Ponferrada is closed due to smoke and poor air quality. The recommendation is to take an ALSA bus from Astorga to Ponferrada. Albergue's rule for just one night is suspended and they are welcoming pilgrims and offering information.

⚠️ Camino Sanabres
Closed in Galicia. High risk of fire around Hervas, Estramadura, Zamora and Ourense.

Anyone walking Camino at the moment - please follow advice from albergues and stay safe.

Public service announcement 28 April:
Spain and Portugal have been experiencing major disruptions to electricity supply. While supply has already been restored to some areas communications networks are only working intermittently. If you've lost contact with someone in Spain don't worry I'm sure they're fine and that things will be running normally again soon.
