Torrevieja is planning to create an official bathing and thalassotherapy area in its famous Pink Lagoon. The project is being launched by the City Hall in partnership with the salt company NCAST.
The zone will be developed in former salt ponds, separate from the main industrial facilities. The goal is to safely use the lagoon’s mineral-rich waters and therapeutic mud while protecting its unique ecosystem.
This could become one of Torrevieja’s most attractive new wellness destinations.

✨ Batería de Castillitos ✨
Just 1 hour 15 minutes from the apartment, this spectacular coastal fortress looks like something straight out of a medieval fantasy 🏰 — even though it was actually built in the 1930s as part of Spain’s coastal defenses.

With its dramatic stone towers, sweeping archways, and enormous cannons once used to guard the coast, it’s a mix of history and dreamlike architecture. From the top, you get panoramic views of the Mediterranean, rugged cliffs, and the sparkling blue waters below.

After wandering through the castle’s corridors and climbing to the lookout points, you can head down to the beautiful beaches nearby for a swim or picnic. The whole area feels like a hidden corner of paradise 🌊☀️.
