USA National Parks We Know. The Passport To Your National Parks cancellation stamp book is a spiral-bound guidebook divided into geographic regions. It features color-coded maps, park info, and dedicated spaces where travelers collect ink cancellation stamps from visitor centers across more than 400 national park sites. Much like an international travel passport, these free rubber-stamp cancellations log the exact name of the park and the date we visited. These are our parks, stamps plus extra stickers. We need to visit more parks.

First look at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art! Visiting during opening week thanks to a Founders membership was awesome. The galleries packed with fantasy, cartoons, Norman Rockwell, and Banksy wall drawings were incredible. Seeing the top Star Wars original items and displays totally brought back memories of the 1977 screening in Boston. In fact, another visitor came up to me while I was almost crying, sharing that exact same core memory of experiencing Episode IV back then. The building itself looks like a spaceship, complete with main windows that resemble a starship bridge, and the views of LA and the Hollywood sign are unbeatable. More photos coming soon!

We visited Sony Pictures Studios, home of Columbia Pictures and many TV shows . Sony recently hosted the Mix Sounds for Movies and TV Conference. We checked out panels covering The Odyssey sound design, recording, and mixing, Avatar Fire and Ash music and sound technology, and Project Hail Mary alien voice design. The itinerary included touring Sony Sound Post production rooms to learn about new technologies, live demos, foley work, and more. It was a cool, immersive way to understand the motion picture industry and to know more about 100 years of Columbia Pictures and the history of the Torch Lady.

TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, opened in 1927 as an iconic 90-foot pagoda-style movie palace. It hosted massive early premieres like The King of Kings and even hosted the Oscars back in the 1940s. Legend has it that silent film star Norma Talmadge accidentally stepped into wet cement in the forecourt during construction, inspiring the famous tradition of immortalizing star handprints, footprints, and signatures in concrete. It was the best place to watch Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey on a giant IMAX 70mm screen.

Exploring small cities around Boston allowed us to discover hidden churches and landmarks outside the classic tourism routes. Established in 1895 in Lower Allston, Saint Anthony of Padua Parish was originally built to serve the Irish and Italian immigrants who worked as butchers, meatpackers, and stockyard laborers in the local industrial economy. Over the decades, the parish has evolved alongside the neighborhood’s shifting demographics, transitioning from its early working-class roots into a dynamic, multicultural spiritual home that currently hosts a vibrant Brazilian community alongside its English-speaking congregation.
