We remember the cold weather and snow-filled rains of the Simien Mountains. We remember the struggles between Gelada baboons and shepherds protecting their barley fields. We remember our childhood days — running alongside swarms of bees, climbing tall trees and cliffs with ropes, and building simple bridges to cross rivers during the rainy season.

We remember helping our pregnant animals give birth, carrying the newborns to home with care and joy. We remember the foggy seasons that separated us from our animals and the long journeys to find them again. We remember playing together, fighting one another, eating from the same plate, and even asking tourists for empty plastic bottles.

These memories are not just stories from our past. They are the roots of our dreams, our strength, and our inspiration.

Twsta is not merely an Amharic word.

Twsta is our previous life, from our childhood days as shepherds in the mountains, to our journey as knowledge seekers. Twsta represents every step we have moved, every friend we have met, every challenge we have faced, and every work we have tried to accomplish.

Twsta is a story of dreams, struggle, learning, friendship, endurance, and growth. It reflects our roots, our culture, and our vision for the future. What once started as a simple journey has now grown into a vision with international standards and broader horizons.

Today, it is my pleasure to transform the previously legalized sole business into a more attractive and internationally recognized company by adding Twsta Tours & Expeditions as our main business line. In the future, we will continue to diversify and expand our businesses accordingly.
