On March 1, 1896, the brave forces of Ethiopia achieved a historic triumph at the Battle of Adwa, defeating the invading army of the Kingdom of Italy.
Led by Emperor Menelik II, Empress Taytu Betul, and courageous Ethiopian patriots from every corner of the nation, Ethiopia defended its sovereignty and became a powerful symbol of resistance and independence for all of Africa and the Black diaspora worldwide. 🌍🔥
