Yksi kaikkien aikojen vanhimmista nettipeleistä on suomalainen. Batmud täytti tänä vuonna 35 vuotta, ja sillä on edelleen hyvin aktiivinen pelaajakunta. Vuonna 1995 se oli vuosikymmenen edellä myöhempiä massiivimoninpelejä.

There's been a small intake of old players returning to BatMUD, which is heartening!! Absolutely love to see you guys back.

We are directing some of our future marketing to those "low player count" hours, to enable people to (if everything goes well, albeit seldomly does..) have some playing company on those off-hours too.

We are truly humbled of your response to our 35th Anniversary Gala event and all the festivities around the main celebration. Since we're in the process of fixing things, we've also found a ca. 20-second fix for those users who have been experiencing the game client using a massive amount of memory (e.g. 1 GB to even 20 GB).

In short, there is a memory leak in player-made triggers debug-option. By changing debug="true" to "false" in your conf/triggers.xml file, the client memory usage no longer balloons. (Yes, we will also address this in a future release, but with this quick fix you can fix your gaming experience immediately.)

We're thrilled to release v1.107 of our game client for BatMUD on Steam. Based on the initial player feedback, it works great, too! It also fixes the "have to start 20-30x before it loads up" -issue many people have experienced/endured. Kepucon 2024 preparations are currently ongoing for the legendary player meet-up in the Oulu area (Finland), which is just about to start! It'll be a memorable weekend for all con goers/attendees! Here's a teaser of what they've been up to this year; that series of tents will offer ample protection to mudders from any sun and rain alike.
