Chiosk Helsinki was founded by Aliisa Talja, Agathe Moretti, Minjin Chung and Annika Sohlman. It was created in Aalto University, School of Art, Design and Architecture and planned in collaboration with Checkpoint Helsinki.

Meet us at the Chiosk!

Chiosk is a one day happening where you find tools and counselling for getting in touch with contemporary art.

We are open for the very first time on the 11th of December, from 1pm to 3pm. Hot glögi will be served. Chiosk's services are free of charge and nonprofit.

For our opening we are collaborating with Ranya Robaa, whose 'lippakioski' restaurant is serving traditional vegan egyptian street food, Koshari. Our other partner is Checkpoint Helsinki, providing readings from their collections.

Chiosk is a part of a project Make a Point done with the help and collaboration of Checkpoint Helsinki.

The workgroup consist of master students of Aalto ARTS. Make a Point is a part of Contemporary Art and Its Social Context, a master course held by Kaija Kaitavuori.

Checkpoint Helsinki is a new non-profit art organisation with a focus on the emerging contemporary art.
